This is such a fun, wonderful, eclectic place! A close friend and I have made this a go-to spot for our holiday-shopping get-togethers for years now, and it's always a terrific experience. The selection of fabulous vintage-to-antique gifts and collectibles are always a draw, but the staff really make the place and its atmosphere. Everyone there has always been kind, helpful, warm and welcoming to us. Michaela (spelling?) helped us out today, and we so appreciated all of her knowledgeable, genial and thoughtful assistance! Places like this make me feel like a millionaire. Not because I'm rich, but because they are selling things, I monthly donate to Goodwill for far too much money. For example, saw several people selling Coca Cola glasses for $10, same glasses you will find at any Goodwill for $1 each. What I am now seeing as this is my second Antique Mall, it's pretty much about people selling potential treasure for far too much money. I am just going to assume that sales come from those looking for items they have been searching a lifetime for. From the outside, this appeared to be a small store with a footprint about the size of a small drug store. Once inside, I thought I had seen the entire floor, only to find out the interior of this place is like catacombs. After about 90 minutes, I just tapped out, I was overwhelmed with the media, pop culture, sports, entertainment and collectables. I had to make multiple trips to the cashier, just because my arms were full of content. As advised, pricing was a little nutty, but I did find a couple sellers that had reasonable pricing and items I found could not be passed up. Someone I spoke with advised that this is the largest Antique Mall outside of California. It was 5 levels, and I could only imagine somewhere in the neighborhood of 6000 square feet. I'll end my review here, I could go into detail about what to look for or find, but I honestly would hate to generate so much excitement that this place becomes so popular that prices either increase or sales are so stimulated that categories I like might start to sell through. Bottom line, you can't come here without finding something. Whether or not it's in your budget or interest is up to you but there are some desirable collections on sale here. read more

I really wanted to love this antique mall. It's huge with a top floor, a few middle floors & a basement. It just kept going & going! Unfortunately- the majority of the items in here are better suited to a goodwill. This is way more thrift/trash than actual antiques. And when you do find any remotely ok, the price is really quite ridiculous. They need better vendors who price to sell. My favorite antique store closed last year & I was really hoping this would be my new fav. Honestly, I doubt I'll be back- it's not worth the trip. read more

I lived in Snohomish county for a long time before I moved away. I didn't know how spoiled I was until I moved. There is such a variety of good pick'ns in the Northwest and Star Center is a great place to find a little bit of everything. Collectibles, jewelry, furniture, books, clothes - whatever you're looking for, you'll find something here. Multiple floors of goods to paw through. Some booths are more exciting than others, but most everything is clean and well-kept. You'll spend hours in here...and lots of $$ if you're not careful. But that's part of the fun! read more

Three stars in the truest sense of the "A-OK" rating level that Yelp suggests. This is a jam-packed medium-sized antique mall in a cool old building a couple blocks off the main 1st Avenue drag of antique shops in Snoho. There's a little more parking, and a little more elbow room. Other than that, it's just a little bit separated from the main browsing arterial, so the differences are not stark. Star Center has a neat old building, unfortunately painted with a misspelled sign noting they sell "collectables." Admittedly, that's a very common misspelling, but, c'mon--you guys are in the industry here. There's a tiny front stoop, and then in ya go. It's a true mall--no proprietors on site, especially on the weekends. Just dozens upon dozens of stalls and one cashier stand off to the side. No wasted space...everybody packs their spaces to the gills. This particular mall seems 75+% focused on housewares, especially china, silver, crystal, and other tabletop/barware stuff. There's a little bit of clothing, sports memorabilia, a few toys, and other miscellany, but virtually no furniture. It's just about all stuff you can carry in one hand. It's widely known that antique stores aren't really the places to find bargains on antiques, and this mall is no exception. There are a few nice prices here and there (out of thousands of items), but for the most part you're looking at paying a premium if you purchase. We didn't happen to find anything yesterday, but we considered quite a few things, and we hadn't expected to actually find anything all day, anyway, so that was just fine. read more

The last time I was here was in August 2008 and it was great then it is even better now! They have an enormous amount of old stuff that well...it all tells a story. So here I am in there for let's see 3 1/2 hours and I have just started! As I am gathering things I ask myself do I NEED this item!!! Or at least you like to keep yourself in check! The jewelry collections are awesome and although you won't find a great bargain here the quality is very good. Many of the jewelry pieces are signed. In the downtown part of historical Snohomish there are many antique shops to browse and just a great place to spend the day if you can tear yourself away from this mall! If I wasn't hungry while I was there I would of been there all day! I'm not into the figurines or glass but if you are there is plenty of that. Some great finds here and it is huge inside. I take a notebook & write down where things are so I can go back easily! Yes it is that big. Plan on spending the day and wear some comfy clothes & shoes. read more

Horrible experience with the owner!! After looking through I found an item that looked like a Nazi star , I took a picture of it and showed it to the owner to check if this is what I think it is. Her reaction was unbelievable!!!! Not only she started yelling at me that " HISTORY SHOULD NOT BE BURIED" , she said she is calling for her husband and want me to leave the store!! All this for just asking a simple question. I felt threatened and terrified. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

First, from what I've seen, this place is not wheelchair friendly. My friend and I came up here this last weekend. We stopped by on July 29th, but they were already closed, so we decided to venture back here when we could. Personally, I would say it was worth it. The drive is nice as it is. But the first thing I noticed about this place was that it wasn't cluttered the way I see some antique stores are cluttered. The aisles were wide and easy to navigate, and things were often displayed in a very organized manner. Beware, there may be items for sale that are deemed offensive. Whether they are WW2 memorabilia (like Nazi flags) or old pot holders depicting the stereotypical "Aunt Jemima." Remember, you are stepping into a building full of history, be it good, bad or otherwise. It never hurts to check pricing online to see if you can find deals if that is what you are looking for. Each stall is operated by a different vendor, so the vendor sets the pricing, not the staff members working there (Unless the item is from their stall.) So I can't imagine they are able to give discounts on someone else's property. I did see many vendors that had sales in their stalls, such as "This case 40% off" And even a 1 dollar stall. There are 4 floors total to this place, as well as a pizza place attached, so there is plenty of stuff to comb through and look at. The staff on the top 3 floors were very cordial and helpful, always making sure to ask if we needed any assistance. The gentleman on the bottom floor was a bit standoffish, and engaged in his book. I am sure we will return sometimes to check out any new inventory, but if you want something to do for a few hours and you like antiques, this is a great place to go. read more

We were excited to visit while in Snohomish and while we enjoyed looking around and did find some treasures it was the guy at the checkout that made the experience very negative. He was rude and unfriendly. At 4:40 he told us they were closing in 5 minutes. um they are open until 5:00-or apparently not. So we promptly checked out. He had a condescending vibe, no friendly small talk and to top it off when he handed us our bags I said thank you and he said "uh huh". Wow. He could use a Customer Service 101 class. I have read all these reviews. My two teenage sons and I where in this mall last summer. I found some great vintage items here. My sons like to collect military items and the persons working there that day had no problems showing them the items. I go antiquing often and I like this mall. FYI-most antique malls carry items that are considered offensive. Culturally and otherwise, it's not my concern. Why should I not shop here. Unfortunately. They are everywhere, just look away. I need to bring a packed lunch when I go here. I can literally spend all day going through all the items on the three or so different levels. The prices are similar to other antique stores, so it's not exactly the place to find a bargain. I found a complete set of a certain dish design that I had started collecting from thrift stores, but had only managed to find a couple of plates. This store really is magical, but so much of it is behind glass cabinets and counters that if you want to actually buy something (instead of just looking) you really have to work to hunt someone down. Then when you finally find someone to help you, you have to remember where it was you were! They also have a good collection of broaches on the top floor. Some restored furniture and appliances (I loved the old green stove). And in the past they had a seller with some huge selection of excellent old photographs, but we couldn't find his booth last time we went and it turns out he retired. In summary, bring a lunch otherwise you might pass out before you finish looking at all the wonderful things in this store. read more

There is a massive book collection, furniture, housewares, glass and pottery items, fishing and gear for boys. If there is something unique that you are looking for it is here. About the best Antique Mall in Washington. Huge inventory and lots and lots of dealers with diverse items. Lots of quality and lots of good deals. If you are looking to decorate in vintage items, furniture, Native American art, glass, collectibles etc., this is a great place to start. Also, the inventory rotates pretty well unlike a lot of other antique malls. I particularly like the Indian silver and turquoise jewelry, baskets, kachinas, totems, rugs and artifacts on the main floor. Several booths with those kinds of things. You can spend hours here, but when you tire, there is a lot of good food within walking distance. read more

If you like antiques, including Victorian houses and buildings, and you want to do something fun, just head to Historic Snohomish. This riverside Victorian mill town is happily situated in the countryside and is to my glee, full of antique stores to peruse. One of my absolute favorite places there is the Star Center Mall. It's has four floors of antiques and is one of the largest antique malls in the region. And they have actual antiques there. I once spotted two German porcelain figurines by Volkstead that were made ca 1765 (I looked up the mark). I know, you're thinking, SHUT...UP! Well, I've also seen 18th and 19th century Meissen porcelain, 19th and early twentieth century nautical antiques, 19th century paper goods, they've got everything there. Oh sure, like all antique malls, you do have to sift through "one man's trash" items but there is still more than 200 years of quality pieces to peruse and/or buy. They've got plenty of staff to open cases for you there and they even have a book store full of reference books on Antiques and Collectibles and also books on pottery and silver marks. It's your antiques and collectibles One-Stop-Shopping Center. The Star Center Mall always makes the trip to Snohomish exciting for me. Well, that and there is a Bank of America across the street. And, good places to eat in Snohomish plus, all the other antique stores there.... What happened? It's also easy to get there. You take the 164th exit off of I-5 and head east like you're going to mill creek, 164th turns into Seattle Hill Rd. and you stay on that all the way down the hill until you can't go straight anymore because if you do, you'll be in someones field. You take a left there at Williams Rd. and follow that past HWY 9 until you come to Airport Way where you'll take a left. Follow that until you cross the river into Snohomish. Take a right on 2nd St. and within blocks you'll see Star Center on the right. Or you can look at the map. So there you have it. Be sure to bring your camera with you. read more

My wife and I come here every time that we visit the area. We are looking for in particular Asian antiques and old jewelry And we never leave empty-handed. The prices are a little high but they're usually is some room for dickering. I personally have never had any issues with staff. read more

My husband and I spent the better part of Saturday afternoon shopping here, and with so many floors and dealers, it will take you that long. While the selection was pretty good, after finally deciding on what we wanted, we go to the desk and try to make some deals on what we had wanted. Nothing much, just an additional 10% would of been nice since we bought a bunch. Nope, the people at the desk wouldn't even discuss it. So that' limited what we bought to start with, then after we left, we checked online for a couple of the items we found, and was disgusted to see that these items were marked up over 200% to 400% from what you could find online! Lesson learned, I will never purchase again from this place, its a total rip off! I understand profit, but this is way beyond that, it borders on fraud!! { especially beware of the dealer with the toy's and die cast cars on the bottom floor. Not the separate dealer with the door, } For those who are avid antique and thrift store shoppers looking for good deals, this place is NOT for you, trust me! read more

I am sad to say I can no longer recommend the Star Center Antique Mall as a place I would do business. My nephew is here visiting from out of state and because he doesn't fit the "Snohomish Mold" he was rudely told by an employee that they were "watching him." Are you kidding me? He is the nicest young man from Texas who has good manners and a mild tempermant. Had he walked through the antique mall with me no one would have given him a 2nd look. Shame on you! I have lived in Snohomish for 27 years and am a member in good standing of this community. I am so embarrassed. read more

Some of our out of town guests like to go to Snohomish antiquing, so we hit the Star Center on December 24th. My son found a book he wanted to buy, but when I looked it up online, I found it for one third what they were asking, including shipping, for the exact same item. At the front desk, the lady said, "our dealers are allowed to overcharge if they want to," which, of course, is the American way! That said, as a guy in his 60s I'm always entertained at how much stuff I own or grew up with is now "antique." At another place on first street, my son was able to negotiate a price he was willing to pay on another item. I like that attitude better: the absentee "seller" with non-negotiable prices really has no business dealing junque. Take your smart phone or know your stuff: caveat emptor! read more
