Join me for the latest episode of... "That just happened!?"
I stopped for gas. I usually get out and pump it myself. I NEVER bother to even use the handicapped assist button on some gas pumps because they are 9 times out of 10, just for show. Nobody ever comes out to help me, so what's the point, right? Well today, I'm PMS and tired and so I push it... to my shock and dismay, nothing happens. So I must be really drained cause I proceed to google the phone number for the station I'm at and call the cashier to tell him I'm out at the pump and need assistance. He comes immediately, pumps for me, no problem. Then as he hands me my receipt through my drivers side window he proceeds to put his head through my window opening and glare down at my legs and ask me what happened to my legs!!! I decide to answer with the most scientific term I can think of to totally throw him off and he, of course, gives me this wtf look like what is that? As he looks at me confused, he sees my get the f out of my car glare and proceeds to walk away as I thank him and peel out of the station. Never using the button again! Shame on people! I should not have to answer personal health questions to get service or assistance. My wheelchair and my handicapped placard should be "proof" enough for you. Looking in a ladies vehicle and down at her leg and hip area is not only sexual harassment but a violation of her privacy. Really appalled at the nerve of some people. read more
