Dr. Peterson performed surgery October of 2020. He is a very compassionate and caring doctor and I could tell taking care of my child meant a lot to him. However, after the surgery and many months (and thousands of dollars) of physical therapy, she still suffered to a point at times that she couldn't push through the day. She is now 19. We went back to Dr. P. and he declared that he would not stop until she felt better. We continued with further recommended appointments with him, as well as other doctors in his group, for second/third/fourth opinions. A few weeks ago she went to a follow up appointment to see how the fourth opinion went and what he was going to do next. Dr. Peterson told her to find another doctor. He was done. Dr. Peterson, you may be a Doctor, but you are no Caregiver. You have tainted her faith in the Healthcare industry. Oh, and today I received a bill from Pinnacle for $30 for his flippant send off.

I was initially very pleased with my first appointment. The doctor was kind, listened to my…read moreconcerns, and made me feel hopeful about my care. She said she would send out a referral and follow up with my blood work results in a few days. That follow-up never happened. Two weeks later, I called the office and was told my blood work had arrived but hadn't been reviewed. Someone did call me the next day to go over it, but couldn't explain the results or answer my questions. She said she'd ask the doctor and get back to me--but no one ever did. I went to the office to pick up the results myself. While I was there, the doctor briefly glanced at the report (for maybe a minute) and told me everything looked fine. She offered to go over it with me in more detail, but by that point, I already felt so uncomfortable with the overall experience that I declined. I later had another doctor review the same blood work and they pointed out a few things that were concerning--nothing urgent, but definitely not "all normal." The front desk experience was just as frustrating. The man working there was dismissive and unfriendly, offering excuses instead of help. When I called to cancel any future appointments, I was put on hold, then told their internet was down and they couldn't check. I explained that I wasn't sure if an appointment had ever been scheduled due to earlier communication issues. When I asked to cancel any future visits just to be safe, the response I got was, "Gladly," with no attempt to reschedule or understand why. That alone left a bad impression. This may be nitpicky, but I also found it unprofessional that the front desk guy constantly chews and loudly smacks gum. As someone who's worked front desk before, I was always taught that's a big no. It was distracting and came off as careless. It's unfortunate because I liked the doctor during our first meeting, but the lack of follow-through, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior from the office staff ultimately made me decide this was not the right place for my care.
