The reason it is so busy at lunchtimes. I have eaten here a number of times and never had a bad thing. Everything on the menu is made with care and pride and it really shows through. It was situated in High River, Alberta, around 45 minutes from Calgary. We did not hesitate to drive there. Since there are limited seating, make sure you book in advance. Three tiered tea was fantastic, we ordered earl grey and English breakfast tea, the tea comprised of scones, clotted cream and jam, sandwiches, blackberry macaroons with balsamic filling,amaretti cookies and sugared grapes and trifles, mini pumpkin pies. The owner of the tea house was very accommodating, excellent customer service. I had never heard of a butterhorn but when it comes to baked goods, am usually up to trying anything. And I am so glad I did. Best way to describe it is that it is like a cinnamon bun but with vanilla and white sugar that caramelizes with the butter. And no cinnamon.
