The shop itself is small, retro, and really cool it looks like something that could have existed in the 1970s, but with a modern twist. When you walk in, there isn't any indoor seating. Instead, it's more of a walk-up counter experience where you place your order. Around the shop you'll find different stationery items for purchase, like bumper stickers, greeting cards, notebooks, and other fun little finds. I ordered a hot chocolate for my toddler and a latte for myself, and both were perfect especially because it was freezing outside that day. The warmth of the drinks hit the spot. While there's no seating indoors, there is plenty of outdoor seating on the patio area, which overlooks the river and offers a really nice view. Because of the cold weather during our visit, we didn't stay to sit and enjoy it, but on a warmer day I could definitely see it being a lovely place to linger. From what we saw walking around, this seemed to be the only coffee shop in the immediate area, and it's easy to understand why locals love it. It's small, charming, and the staff was very friendly, making it a memorable little stop during our visit.

Upon walking in, the aroma of coffee filled the space which is always a promising sign going into a coffee shop. Let's start off with saying the environment, decor and bookstore part of this shop is amazing. Great books for the little ones, nice little seating spots to drink your coffee and read, and overall such a nice environment. I ordered a Cortado and while they were slammed, I appreciated the quick pace in which I received my drink. My only suggestion for this place is to invest in some barista training for the staff. Learning how to dial in the espresso, properly steam milk and some workflow changes would honestly make this probably one of the best shops up here. So much potential and excited to see how it progresses when I come back to visit.

It's just a small counter at which you order, but don't let the minimal storefront fool you - the quality is excellent. I had the Ganesha Toast, i.e. toasted organic sourdough with house made whipped feta (yum!), cherry tomatoes, and topped with basil and a lavendar balsamic drizzle. Spouse got the Warrior Wrap, a wheat tortilla housing a cacophany of flavors that marry so well together - lime cilantro quinoa, black beans, roasted sweet potato, jalepenos (yes this wrap has a kick!), mixed greens, and a house made avocado sauce. Forgive my picture of the two on a paper plate (the veggie crisps came with the wrap). Not pictured but equally delish were my "Almond Joyous" smoothie, and "Energy" smoothies. By no means inexpensive but smoothies of this caliber (with such quality base ingredients) rarely are - you get what you pay for. These are worth the price of admission imho. They also have a plethora of juices, more smoothie choices, specials (on the board outside), acai bowls, salads, and some other toasts and wraps.
