Was a little disappointed that my cup was not full when I was handed my unsweetened green tea. For almost 5 dollars my tea should be filled to the top. I will give them a try next time I'm in town. Hopefully my tea will be filled to the top next time. read more

Hands down the worst Starbucks in Indiana probably. Terrible customer service, they're ALWAYS out of something and their drinks are always inconsistent! This location is so bad they'll tell u to pull forward at the drive thru after you've mobile ordered and waited in drive thru for 20 minutes and tell you they'll bring your drink out, and never bring it out. It was not even a hard or large order. I waited for 39 minutes for 2 iced coffees and a hot coffee. Absolutely ridiculous! Can't say if I am driving through Id' be back. Ordered a few drinks and a few food items. Took FOREVER. The servers were nice enough, but so slow, everything was sitting on the table as an online order and taking up their time to make drinks for people who were actually there. Was passing through town on my way to a basketball tournament. Was looking forward to having a coffee, a protein box, and a small snack. Sadly, they had neither the protein box OR the snack. I come to this Starbucks twice a day. Everyday. Drinks are never consistent. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Sometimes they don't even make it. Lol then they are mad because you're in a hurry. But the thing that stands out? The lack of customer service. I've always said this about this location but continued to go here due to convenience. I spend roughly $1,000 (usually more) a month at this store. Morning order is me and all the kids $25.75 and afternoon order is $7.01. Every single day. All I've asked three different times was for them to clear the mobile ordering because the entire menu is listed as sold out. For over a week now it's been this way. It makes mobile ordering impossible. So what's the point? Somehow this is a huge issue for Starbucks and I was treated horribly over it all 3 times I asked. I won't be back. I get it $1,000 a month is not big for Starbucks. But that's big for customer support. Today when I ask I get accused of cussing out a barista. Which NEVER happened. I won't be back. That was it. Last time. I can deal with anything else. Your customer appreciation is lacking severely. Add to that the fact that your store employees don't mind lying about the customer. If you want coffee fast, don't go into the store and physically order from a real person. To set the stage, their was only one person in front of me that ordered. I waited 20 minutes for a coffee while others were whisking in and out after being served their mobile orders. After 10 minutes, I asked the lady up front what happened and she made the excuse that they were only concentrating on mobile orders. After another 10 minutes, I decided to just stand at the serving counter. I understand that but their needs to be someone else working as a priority for a customer who physically comes in. This isn't the first time this has occurred. It's time for your team to troubleshoot this issue in order to serve all customers in an efficient capacity. read more

Both Starbucks in Kokomo are horrible. Today at this location 25+ minutes to get a shaken black ice tea which I had to ask them to shake after they handed it to me. They also did not follow the formula for actually putting the drink together. These used to be the best Starbucks in Indiana but in the last two years they have both gone down hill. read more

Great customer service! We were greeted and recieved our drinks and breakfast sandwiches promptly. I'm not sure why this location gets lower reviews than the other one. I would give Starbucks low scores anyway based on their attempts to provide patrons with coffee drinks. They cater to the crowd that's addicted to sugar and not coffee. Really good coffee doesn't need all these accoutrements, it only needs to be served with respect. Starbucks being the fast food of coffee, can compete with McDonald's overly sugared drinks, but not with a local artisanal coffee shop. So when you stop, you know what you're getting. Since I had my nieces with me, it was a sure bet they could find something they would like. And BTW, the prices here is ridiculous! I paid $30 for 3 simple drinks and 3 bacon-egg-cheese croissants. Not a fan of this location. Doesn't matter when I stop it seemed like the employees were more interested in complaining or talking to each other about someone or something than they are service. The beverages suffered because of it. When the other location in town blew down with the tornado and I had a hankering for Starbucks I just skipped it rather than come back to this location. Funny, I found out one of my friends has had the same experiences on her own trips there and wasn't happy to give this location her business either. I admit I haven't been to this one for awhile, so I hope they have stepped up their game since they are the only drive-up one in town right now. The employees at this location have double charged me, argued with me about MY drink order and today the girl at the window eye rolled, sighed and told me she had other people to help when I asked if I could use a reward on my Starbucks app to pay for my drink. I left and went to the other location (where I usually go, but it's out of my way) where the employees go above and beyond to help you and definitely don't act put out when a loyal customer wants to use their app perks. read more

Good morning, at 6:50 AM on September 18th, 2020. I went to Starbucks to get a coffee with a shot of espresso to start my workday. After I ordered, I pulled up to the window to pay; as soon as the girl with blue hair opened the window (you have camera's review) no good morning nothing and said, "I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW I AM ALLERGIC TO TOBACCO, SOME PEOPLE ARE, AND YOU ARE TO RESPECT THIS" First, I was in my vehicle not close to the window, and she had a mask on. She informed another girl to give my change back; she wasn't. The other girl opened the window never said one thing gave me my change like I was a nuisance to them. After returning with my coffee, I informed the girl I thought this was rude; in return, she SAID, "SHE IS ALLERGIC TO TOBACCO," AND LITERALLY SHUT THE WINDOW AND GAVE ME THE FINGER AND NOT THE GOOD FINGER!!! I am a very Loyal customer of Starbucks. This Starbucks on 512 E Alto Rd Kokomo, IN is very close to my house. Many people working in the store are very friendly and have got to know them over the years. 99 % of the time I order the same drink. In the last 4 months I have had to change stores as the manager seems to think that I do not know the difference when my drink lacks Expresso. I now have to drive out of my way to the second Starbucks in Kokomo to get my drink correct. I cannot figure out why the difference in my favorite drink is like Night and Day between to two stores. I have addressed my concern, but still lacks the correct amount of expresso. I find this very odd and most upsetting. read more

I've been a fan of Starbucks for years, when living in Indianapolis I went to one almost every other day. When I moved to Kokomo, I frequented the Alto Road location since it was close to where I live. Last Friday, on the 3rd of June, I had errands to run so I stopped in to get my usual, and iced coffee with half and half. I have known for a while now not to use the drive up because nobody there seems to know what "a little bit or a splash" of half and half means - it almost always turns out to be a "ham fisted" pour! Anyway, I decided to go inside for my drink order. Everything went fine until I asked for half and half for the coffee - they never have any out and have to get it from the fridge. The girl handed me the half and half and as I started pouring, it "glopped" out, it was obvious the half and half had spoiled. I told the girl and she insisted it wasn't spoiled, that it had merely frozen. As a 50 year coffee drinker I knew better, but put the lid on my coffee and walked out the door. I took one sip right outside the doorway, and YUP, it was very spoiled!! I went back inside, told her it was indeed spoiled to which she argued with me saying it wasn't - I even asked if she'd like to take a sip and she declined, saying "they weren't allowed to do that!" She reluctantly offered to make me another one, and handing me a different container of half and half - It was alright, NOT SPOILED this time. I also noticed that the jug that had turned, she shook it up and put it back in the fridge - I wonder how many people drank tainted half and half in their drink orders that day? If that girl doesn't know the difference between spoiled or not spoiled dairy products - SHE SHOULD BE FIRED!! From now on I'll just make my iced coffee at home with my Keurig, I throw my half and half out when it turns bad!!! read more

We went inside with no line, 4 workers and it took about 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. I ordered a grande Carmel frappacino, my husband ordered a coffee and two pastries. He got his drink and we wait about 5 minutes or so on my drink, letting some drive through drinks be made. My drink and his pastries don't come. My husband gets the attention of a worker and she mumbles something about someone else will deal with us. Another worker apologizes and said it was her fault. She confirms my drink again and gives my husband his pastries. I get my drink and it is a tall carmel creme frappacino. I gave up and left. Ordered a latte which came out well, but the cashier (Jade) was zombielike and came off as rude and flippant. The person who made my drink (no name tag) was much friendlier and outgoing, while the cashier kept glaring around and acting awkward. It's a small store and the drive thru was long so I went inside to order and they had a good selection of Christmas ornaments left.
