This coffee place was a great find. The hotel I stayed at had a tear off pad of local coffees and a self taken coffee tour in support of Laredo tourism. The vibe was great, and the baristas were friendly. I asked for a cortado which was not on the menu and they had no problems making it. That's when I know they are a real barista. The baked items are self serve and included biscotti and muffins. Every ounce of this coffee spot oozed creativity and uniqueness. There was so much to take in and absorb. I ordered the fishless tacos, which came with three tacos filled with soy-based "fish," purple cabbage, avocado, and chipotle sauce, served with a bowl of lentil soup. It was a massive and very filling meal, especially with the protein, avocado, and soup. The space itself was clean, spacious, and inviting without being overdone. It was pretty busy when I went for lunch on a Friday, which was great to see. They also brought out a small complimentary appetizer with chips, nopales, spicy tomato salsa, and a sprinkle of cheese, which was a fun and flavorful start to the meal.
