I've tried to be very understanding but as an ex Starbucks barista of 3 years it's frustrating when I order an oatmeal I never get a spoon or napkins without asking. Any food item I have order NEVER has napkins. A white mocha the standard is it comes with whip cream and they never put it on. I don't order alternative milk which would render the assumption that I don't want whip It's n very frustrating and I hope managers can implement this basic requirements Not to mention the fact that they really don't interact with you which hey I get it talking to people all day is tiring but you can't be introverted and incompetent you need to pick a struggle read more

For me this is not your average Starbucks. The morning crew consists of mainly nothing but guys and the soundtrack represents their varied tastes. It is not unusually to jam out to Metallica while waiting for your latté. Among the sea of guys is one female, who might be the most beautiful girl in McAllen. Her name is Vivian. This Starbucks is usually my last choice from the available ones nearby. The lines tend to get excessively long both, inside and outside. The sitting area inside is often congested with people who bring laptops and work. There's nothing wrong with that except that they order one coffee and stay there for two hours while other people who just want to enjoy some coffee and relax for 30 minutes can't find a place to sit. Employees should limit times for people working there and give priority to newer customers coming in because it does get packed. The outside area is small and extremely closed to the drive-thru exit. This cause car pollution to interrupt a nice relaxing time outside. On top of that, it's on the frontage of an expressway, so it's noisy no matter the time you go. The drive thru is shared by a bank's drive their exit. At certain times, both customers from both businesses start battling over who's exiting the parking lot and who's trying to order coffee. With the type of people we have in the Valley, everyone thinks that they are trying to get ahead in the car line so cars drive dangerously close to one another to prevent that from happening. The devices provided there are standard. Nothing particularly excels but it's not bad either. Several times, though, my order has been prepared wrong. The sticker on my order says Soy milk, but my tea is made with regular milk. Again, this is my last resort for Starbucks, but I often prefer one that is a 10 minute drive from this one. read more

Sucks! They don't Know how to make an Iced Americano and still questioned if i knew it only has water and espresso! YES I do,I get it everyday-and this ain't it! Super water down and made it seem that I was wrong! They offered to re-make it but just left because they were annoying! Also super packed and slow. Restrooms were dirty! read more

Group of us stopped in for drinks. Brian took our orders and was super nice. I applaud the person who hired this young gentleman. Was so polite and recommended some drinks because my original order they were out of. Will definitely come back to this location because of the great service. read more

This is probably the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. And I'm not just saying it because of one bad experience. I've been here many times because of its proximity to the university. The service is slow and they put no care into making your coffee right. They just sort of slap it together and move you along. Seriously I don't know how hard it is to make foam for coffee, but they don't know how to do it here. In contrast the Starbucks on Trenton and the Expressway treats its customers well. Watch the transactions on your card after coming here a caught a man named "joe" I believe starring at my card after charging me. He saw me looking at him and quickly handed me my card and hurried me along. Not sure what he was doing I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but what other reason is there to stare at someone's card for upwards of 30 seconds. read more

Worst Starbucks ever, super loud. very unhelpful. There is no one here, and after making me wait at the register (told me in a very rude way) i go sit down. come back, and the same "wanna be punk" kid waves his finger yet another second time. 3rd time, (when he is not busy) asks the long bearded guy to help me. Starbucks has always been a place that I stop a few times a week. Iced chai latte and pumpkin scones are my favorite along with the lattes. However today walking into the store, I saw one of the most unprofessional things I have seen on my over 30 years of business. On a public table, right near to the pick up counter, there was a supervisor (assumption on my part) giving a performance evaluation of an employee. Her computer was open and she was speaking loudly enough for those around her to hear. Come on Starbucks...don't you have a back office somewhere to conduct this kind of business. The employee want even sitting down. She was standing right next to the person to get her review. The customer service staff are the the backbone for companies like Starbucks. To not show the respect to your staff by letting people walk by, listen and look at this poor person while she is receiving anykind of feedback is unprofessional and shows a total lack of respect to your employees read more

The drive in service is alright, but when I went inside for a short meeting, I was literally chased out by a swarm of flies that just would not let up. I know it is harder to control pests in a near-tropical environment, but it was bad in there. The outdoor seating area is actually better. Cashier was super helpful since app was not working. When I tried my venti skinny vanilla latte across town 30 min later..I had warm milk with syrup and Splenda. How does Starbucks forget the coffee part?! I called and barista said I could bring it back and they could remake it. I explained I was 30 min away and could they just credit me one. I used the drive thru this past weekend and like any starbucks its expensive..lol!! But i bought a peppermint mocca and a caramel mocca!! Both tasted ok but needed more flavor!
