The refs are young(hs age) for the younger soccer games but they seemed knowledgeable. The indoor fields are turf and the large field is split into 2smaller fields for games where the teams play literally wall to wall - def a bit different but a great opportunity for you to continue playing. There are also outdoor fields to be used we just were not signed up for those. Also has adult soccer and lacrosse. There are places to stand to watch the games with a little obstruction but it's not terrible. Very easy to get to but parking is crazy, very small lot and extremely busy. But I would recommend for anyone adults or kids

Scheduling is the real issue, they cram in all the games they can with games starting 2 minutes after the last game ends leaving almost no time to warm up. Players are often still walking off the pitch when the next game starts. This also makes parking tough. Not only are the games right on top of each other, but a lot of people hang around after their game socializing or waiting for another chance to play. Reffing can be hit or miss. There are some good refs, and some really bad ones that just linger around midfield rather than staying with the play. It's a great facility, and the only game in town!

I have played rec volleyball for about a year now for this league and I probably won't stop anytime…read moresoon. However, there are a few things about the league that can be improved. Let's start with the obvious positives: 1. playing sports is fun 2. you don't have to organize anything yourself 3. beer afterward 4. seasons are reasonably priced (~$65/season per person) 5. everyone makes the playoffs 6. good way to meet other people in the neighborhood Some improvements: 1. the ref fee--include it in the season fee 2. constant outreach from the league organizers is annoying 3. banquet is quite expensive for the experience I've enjoyed the time that I've spent playing rec volleyball and I have also made some friends through the league I wouldn't have met otherwise. Overall, it's a good way to get out at least once a week and be active, too.

They offer a wide variety of sports with lots of fun people. The league is organized by the Bayou Bar on Main St. and you get a free beer after every game there. (An obvious ploy to get you to spend more, but at least it's a cheap place to eat and booze!) You also get a free "banquet" at the end of each season which is held at the bar and includes a 2 hour open bar and free baked ziti and wings. However, the league loses 1-2 stars for organization. Almost every game I attend has started late, which often sacrifices warm up time. Some of the refs are not very focused on the game at times. (One ref, who is very nice and fair nonetheless has still regularly been observed having conversations on his cell phone during the game! Seriously!) They also started making us pay a ref fee separately; in and of itself not a big deal, but it inflates the price. We've had multiple last minute schedule changes over the years, and in these cases, the league is usually not very adept at communicating efficiently. Also, the website is not updated as regularly as other leagues which can also lead to scheduling and communication problems. We have let the guy who runs the league know about these things, but not much has seemed to change in 8 years... Overall, I've really enjoyed my experiences in the league, but they just seem more focused on pulling in the money and getting people to the bar than they are on how well things go for the players.
