The Sky Carp also run drink discounts during the game for 1-2-3 innings. As a Carbliss enjoyer, those 10 minute half-off sales have me running to the vendors every time. I was looking to take my kiddo out before we headed into Sam's Club, and this park was nearby and seemed like a good stop. It was indeed! The playground is an all for one design, with no separate little kids side or big kids side, which is just fine. Variety is the key with this setup. For slides, there is one big enclosed twirl slide (my two year old loved this one), one three person slide, and a two person slide. For climbing into the playground, you can walk up the back of a crocodile, tackle the climbing wall, or take the variety of ladders, including one that goes into the middle of the roost. As well, there are two swings. One for toddlers, one for big kids. It's nothing crazy, it's not brand new, but it is well designed and maintained. Trees line the playground and basketball court, so there is plenty of shade. Parking is just on the street, no parking lot here. As well, the bathrooms are on the opposite end of the park from the playground, instead of centrally located. Other than that, the park is great for your traditional neighborhood park. We'll be back for sure.

It's just a fun, more laid-back baseball experience and feels warmer and way more reasonable for families than going to a major league game. Parking was only $5 and not far to walk at all. We were in the club seats, which were supplier sponsored for us, and they were sweet! Honestly, I don't think there's a bad seat in the house and the regular tickets are priced very reasonably. The buffet was really good -- chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers and yummy mashed potatoes. Got a hat, watched some good baseball and of course had to cheer on the Leinenkugel's and Miller Lite can race Miller Lite won, which meant $4 beers for the rest of the game! The DockHounds didn't get the win, but we still had a great time and finished the night with some really nice fireworks. Good food, good beer, fun atmosphere and just a really fun night out. Definitely recommend checking out a DockHounds game!

There are chairs with counter tops, your own bar with bartender, and servers to take food orders from the nearby taco stand. There are plenty of food options at the Wisconsin Brewing Company stadium, and a kids area with basketball court and bounce houses. After the game, the kids can run around the diamond (it's a version of artificial turf, so no dirt in the kids), and the players sign autographs. Three pitchers were signed to major league team systems this year, so far! There are also multiple seating and group outing options, starting at just $10. I enjoyed a smoked brisket sandwich and loaded tater tots with cheese sauce, pulled pork, BBQ sauce and scallions. In the 6th inning they run a $1 popcorn promo for the inning, and they also have a 50/50 raffle and beer can race (like the sausage race). This is another great option for affordable family-friendly fun! I will be back, and I recommend this experience!

My friend Amy H and I have been threatening to play tennis for a few weeks now. Yesterday, we…read morefinally made good on our promise, and it was a blast. In the two weeks leading up to the actuality of the event, we waffled on timing - "Oh, that's not terribly convenient for me, I like to nap at 1:42pm on Sundays" or amounts of humidity/sunshine - "Holy hell it's hot out! Eff this!" and locations to, you know, hit it around - "We could head to the courts by UEC, or at Lake Park, or the ones down by the lakefront but I don't want to do that because people will watch us down there and we'll wait until we get gooood to play there," etc. Little did I know that *Pumping Station Park has two more than adequate courts just kickin' it in the back of the park, behind the "batting cages" and next to the basketball courts. Win! *I never knew what the park across the street from Colectivo Humboldt was called until I went to check in yesterday and had to ask Amy. Pumping Station Park... the more you know! This park is small but mighty: a baseball/kickball diamond, tennis courts, batting cages, a basketball court... they've got what you need, MKE. Lots of leagues play sportballs at this small but mighty park... I often see practices of all types and sorts. (Read: post-work/school days and summertime weeknights can be busy.) Adequate green space to play catch with a real-life leather football with your significant other, too. If your significant other is good at throwing a football from 50+ yards, you may end up jamming the living daylights of your ring finger like me and subsequently endure a re-occurring sportsball "injury." Ow. My tender tendons. I'll be back to play lots more tennis with my friend Amy and maybe my friend Jessie, too. (And though it's a long shot, maybe L, too.)

The field looks almost the same as it did back in 1963 with a lot of improvements. What is missing is the light pole in left field. It was in fair territory and it took me awhile to learn how to play around it. I also remember that chasing the foul balls down the hill was assigned to the freshmen or youngest players on the team. I chased my fair share of foul balls. In 1963, we posted the best record ever for a Riverside baseball team with 12 wins. We also ran from the high school across the Locust Street bridge to the field everyday for practice with Coach Buro following us in his car! But it was also the many many days we played pick up baseball games during the summer after the season was over. We all practically lived at Pumping Station. I am glad to see that the Riverside continues to play their home games here and have kept up the success and tradition of baseball at Riverside High School!

There's four main baseball diamonds, under the lights, but I counted 6 total. There's also at least 6 full soccer fields, with goals, and there could be more. There's a playground and restrooms on the premises, covered picnic tables, and bleachers. Every time we've been here, it's been really busy, but there is plenty of space for you to come and practice, play some small games, or just enjoy watching the games. If you're thinking about participating in Huntley sports, you'll be well taken care of! What a great park!
