The company is extremely hard to contact and resolve claim issues with. Stay away from them.

I never had an insurance agent who made me feel more well-cared for. Nicky was always available to…read moreanswer questions, assist with a claim, and review my policies for possible savings. Im only sorry that it took me so long to find her. She is stellar!

Last year, having been clients of Farmer's for over ten years, my husband and I, who are both good…read moredrivers with excellent credit, were shocked to discover that our insurance premium had climbed over $400 in less than one year. Nichole had no explanation for this, stating in email, "I wish there were better answers for industry rate increases Stephanie." Seriously, what kind of insurance agent isn't able to explain this? I'm not asking for you to be an actuary and delve into statistics; I'm simply asking for why you would drastically increase the premium for a middle-aged couple with good driving records and outstanding credit. Interestingly, she did suggest that I lower my comprehensive deductible saying, "... I know that is an increase [in the cost of the premium], however really it is saving you 400.00 if there is comp claim." I told her we would be taking our business elsewhere, and specifically told her to cancel all of our policies effective November 30th. That didn't happen, and I continued to be charged for one of my policies for another five months. When I discovered this error, I contacted them to correct this disturbing oversight immediately. The policy was cancelled but no apology was issued to me for the inconvenience or for being temporarily swindled out of over $200. I found it hysterical when, a month later, Nichole thought to email me telling me my "first renewal since you left Farmers" was coming up. Since I really only need to be contacted for legitimate business matters, I pressed her on this, asking what needed renewing since I no longer have a Farmer's policy. Her response? "Based on you leaving you [sic] current policy with your new carrier would be renewing." I just can't imagine doing business with such a poor representative of Farmer's.
