This has become one of my go-to hotels when staying in Loudoun. There's plenty of parking here and easy exit access. As for the room, you have a typical Hyatt Place layout of a sofa bed, desk, mini-fridge area, bed, and a bathroom. What separates the rooms at this Hyatt Place from the others is the cleanliness of the furniture and surfaces and lack of wear/tear. Not to mention the bed; soft and balanced where I get an amazing night's sleep. Something you don't take for granted in your 40's! The breakfast is good for a chain hotel. Don't expect gourmet; but solid good breakfast eats that are well-presented. Out of the 4 major hotel chains, Hyatt probably has the best complimentary breakfast of them all. I was not aware they offer a shuttle service to Dulles Airport so I will consider this next time in lieu of a car rental. As for price, it's pretty favorable if you're a Hyatt member for what you get. Or you can use points at roughly 5,000 points/night; not too shabby!

Hyatt posts a local number, but routes your call to a corporate AI Hell-Hole, and you waste tens of minutes arguing with a robot trying to get to a human.

Check-in was easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite that had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a common living and kitchen area between them. The kitchen was well equipped with a stove, oven, and microwave, which was very convenient, especially for a longer stay. The layout provided plenty of room and allowed everyone to have some privacy while still having a common area to spend time together. The hotel also has a workout room, pool, and laundry room. We did have a few issues that kept this from being a five-star stay. The doors to both bathrooms were surprisingly difficult to open and close and could definitely use some adjustment or maintenance. We also had an issue in the laundry room. One of the front-loading washers was apparently not working, and when we opened the door, we discovered it was still full of water and some of the water came out onto the floor. We immediately closed the door and reported the problem to the staff. Unfortunately, the water remained on the laundry room floor for several hours before it was cleaned up, which I thought should have been handled much more quickly because of the potential slipping hazard. The laundry was also $4 to wash and another $4 to dry each load, which was higher than several other hotels we have stayed at recently. Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay. The large two-bedroom suite, full kitchen, friendly staff, and amenities made it a comfortable place to stay, but some additional attention to maintenance and responding more quickly to problems would make it even better. We were not dressed! - housekeeping visited later only to not put pillows on beds, not clear the trash, not fill up soap. Did not entirely service room - We had no body wash for 2 days. Front desk asks US what happened when we went day and night to request refill. - Thread bare towels - Pool is closed. Pool was entirely why we chose this hotel for our kids We went to the front desk to complain everyday and lots of nights. It was a non-stop tragedy of errors for our 9-day stay.

And it isn't too hard to earn a late check out through this company and it did help me out a bit.

We were on our way to a wedding in Potomac, MD on Sunday, and the closest hotels were in Tysons Corner VA or Bethesda MD. We selected this hotel primarily because it's an IHG hotel (where we have platinum membership in its reward program), its location, and very good review profile. This hotel offers apartment-style hotel suites with full kitchens, free wifi, and 42" HDTVs, and includes a free breakfast buffet. The website indicates that the hotel also offers 24/7 laundry, a fitness room, and seasonal pool but, while useful, we didn't use any of these. We were very pleased with our selection. The hotel was beautifully appointed and spotless, and it was clear that thought had gone into providing what travelers were most likely need. Our suite was huge, with two separate areas. One side included the sleeping area and the bathroom, while the other side was the kitchen and sitting area with TV. (Note that there are different room types. Our daughter and SIL said that their room was smaller). Check-in was effortless, with everything already ready upon our arrival. The check-in receptionist was friendly, and offered good recommendations for local restaurants. The breakfast buffet offered many hot and other choices, including scrambled eggs, sausages, diced sweet potatoes, hot waffles, oatmeal, breads/bagels/scones, fresh fruit (apples, bananas, oranges), and beverages (coffee, tea, juices). Foods were replenished regularly, except for the orange and pineapple juices (both of which dispensed only water). The neighborhood is urban, but the hotel is quiet and offers parking ($). There are walkable restaurants nearby. Our rating for this hotel would actually be 4.5 but a round-up to 5.0 seemed more appropriate than a downgrade. A few small things, the first two of which are related to communication. (1) we were surprised by our final bill which included a $10 charge for parking. While we were asked at check-in whether we needed a parking pass, it was never mentioned, and should have been, that there was a charge for that parking. (2) we're platinum members of IHG's Rewards Program, which is usually acknowledged at check-in with an offer of 500 loyalty points or a snack or drink. While not mentioned at check-in, I did find later that our account was credited with 500 points. (3) I had been sitting on the chaise lounger in the bedroom area, elevating my feet after a long drive. My husband called from the other side of the suite, and I swung my legs to get up to go there. This caused me to fall with a hard thud. It turns out that what I thought was a one piece chaise lounger (as in the living room area) was actually a chair and ottoman that fit together. When I tried to get up, the ottoman rolled and I fell between the two pieces. Not a major injury, but I do have some black and blue marks. I guess I should've turned on a light!

We were in town for a 50th anniversary with a large family group--kids, grandchild, everyone--and it was important for us to have adjoining rooms on the same floor. The hotel absolutely delivered. GM Nerone and her team were fantastic in coordinating everything. We ended up in a newly renovated section of the hotel, which was a big upgrade from our first stay--everything felt brand new and very well done. Huge shoutout to Jerico Buenico and Anne Donovan for staying in touch, making sure we were set up properly, and even helping us navigate the dedicated Hyatt parking. That kind of service goes a long way. Staff across the board--front desk, bell staff, housekeeping, everyone--were friendly and responsive. Any request we had was handled quickly. And you really can't beat the location--connected directly to the mall, which makes everything so easy. Great stay, great service, and perfect for families traveling together.

For a cost of around $250-ish per night, you get a pretty complete package for any traveler. And what I loved about this place before is what I love about it now. The rooms are clean, the beds very comfortable, the wi-fi is decent. Daily complimentary breakfast is much appreciated, and just what you need to fuel up for the day. There is a gym, an indoor pool, an office center, and conference rooms. The in-house concession store is quite useful. And the guest laundry room is a lifesaver! The location is also a plus, given how convenient it is to Dulles Airport, to downtown Reston/Herndon, and with easy highway access. This place is also adjacent to two nice walking trails, and right across the street from the hotel is a business complex with several good restaurants and an excellent little brewery. I also need to give MAJOR props to the staff here. Everyone I encountered, from front desk to housekeeping, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. So do make sure to show them your appreciation when you check out. As for a few minor points of order about this place.... At time of this writing, the laundry room still uses coins and not card scanners, so be sure to have cash in order to get change, and detergent can be bought at the in-house store. Also, if you do take advantage of the trails or restaurants within walking distance, be very careful crossing the intersections outside, as it is very busy and people regularly take corners very fast around here. So yeah, this place has continued to leave a good impression on me. If you are traveling through the greater Reston-Herdon-Dulles area and need a place to rest your head, then you definitely need to keep the local Hampton Inn in mind. Is it a fancy or niche hotel?
