After years of home haircuts, I finally took two of my boys to get a "real" haircut. Howie was great with both of my boys and helped them feel comfortable and at ease. Both boys really like their haircuts. My 8 year old tried to sleep on his back all night so that he wouldn't mess up his hair for the next day. We did have a bit of a wait on Friday night, but were in and out in an hour and that was with six people ahead of us. Both Howie and Dale are fast and professional. Howie even gave me pointers on cutting the boys hair at home in the future. I know we will be back because Mom's cuts just won't cut it anymore. read more

Regarding the one star reviews you see in here: these are the type of people who like to be treated like royalty. They don't understand humor and expect every little ounce of attention from everyone they meet in their lives. If you want that, don't go to Steadfast. Howie and Dale are fantastic barbers and fantastic people with a sense of humor that some may not be accustomed to. Is it a bad sense of humor? Absolutely not. Dale likes to poke fun at things and if he calls your hair cut "hip hop" he means no offense and is making a joke. Don't be offended. And regarding the reviewer who said they sat for ten minutes and were not greeted, I've never had that happen after getting my haircut for over a year now from Steadfast. If they actually did not say hi, maybe they were busy, maybe they were focusing on what they were doing. Just because they didn't say hi doesn't mean they deserve a 1 star review. As far as haircuts go, Steadfast is top notch. You'd be hard-pressed to find any faults at Steadfast. Howie and Dale are both fantastic barbers with a vast knowledge of cuts. Howie is more focused on what's modern and Dale is a good all around type of guy. That doesn't mean they can't do that 'sick fade' that you've always wanted, but you might get a different suggestion or moved to one or the other's chair. The price is still great for what you're getting and I always feel fantastic after leaving. Give them a try, you won't regret it. read more

I've been doing a lot of research on the best barber shops in the area and decided to give Steadfast a shot. I could't be happier. The shop was very inviting with a great atmosphere, cool decor on the walls and good music playing, There was a line of guys waiting when I got there which was a great sign that it was a good place. Once in the chair it only took the barber 12 minutes and I left with the best haircut I've ever had. My search is over and I will be returning to Steadfast again. read more

New in town. Used Yelp to find my new barbershop. FAIL SUMMARY: Without ever acknowledging our presence for a half hour, the owner and another barber left three customers alone in the shop without so much as a word. I finally walked out. FULL YELP NARRATIVE: A good basic haircut for a reasonable price is 80% of my selection criteria. I'll never know how Steadfast does there because they flunked on the "friendly" scale. I walked out after being invisible for a half hour. When I walked in, one customer was waiting. The lone barber did not acknowledge my entry in any way; no greeting, no smile, no eye contact. Odd, but OK... I guess. It was strange how little talking took place to collect money from the first guy and get started with the next. I didn't come for conversation. So OK... I guess. The owner returned from lunch with his phone to his ear; obviously on hold. He walked around the shop for three minutes without making eye contact or saying,"I'll be right with you." He walked out the front door. Weird, but OK... I guess. During this time, two more customers walked in. They were ignored with the same cold shoulder. The lone barber finished and collected money from the guy in front of me. My turn. The half hour wait had not been long, just stony. Without eye contact or a word, he walked into the back area. Bathroom break? OK..... I guess. Then I heard beeps of a microwave. When the owner did not return in three more minutes..... This is not OK....... This is bull****! I will not be back. read more

I recently moved to Richland, and needed a new barber. I wanted a real barber who knows how to cut short hair. Boy did I find the right place. I loved the old fashioned chairs and the styling products. It was almost like the place I went to with my father so many years ago. I got a great haircut and a neck shave with hot shaving cream like it is supposed to be. Will certainly be coming back. They are worth the wait to get a chair. read more
