I wasn't expecting to walk into a dive bar atmosphere to learn the course. The facility is run down with inadequate tools to learn with. Although the back bar liquor bottles were in passable condition, the bottles on the speed rack looked like they have been there for at least 20 years. The bottles were dirty and labels scratched and unreadable, the soda bottles were beat up without labels so you were guessing what was in the bottles. Since there were no carbonated soda to practice with, you are guessing if you made a drink correctly. There was only one strainer for all of us to share, and it was difficult to garnish a drink with plastic fruit that you couldn't cut into. The instructor tried to show how to 'float' with water, but of course that doesn't work with water. I was surprised they didn't provide the instructor with a syrup to show the 'float' technique or a couple of pieces of fruit to show the proper way to 'muddle'. I guess I'll have to watch a U-Tube video, but for $295 I thought it would be provided. Our instructor, Heather, did a wonderful job of walking us through the workbook and explaining everything in detail. She was patient, thorough and always asked if we had any questions. She did a great job despite the limited supplies she had to work with.

At first I was very excited to learn but as we continue our "education" we realized that we are on our own! I will start with the instructor: very unprofessional . If you ask him a question, he won't give you an answer! All he's able to say is " read your book". So if you are confused on something, you will be confused until you finish the Course cuz he's no help! Also, he did not cover the main points of this whole course! He didn't even explain what the single and transaction agencies are! Duhhhh!! The most important part is that he talked more about his personal life , cooking , been some weird agent in the navy, fishing , rather than the real estate topic. At this point I realized that he should've been a cook and not a real estate instructor because he really suck at this! The classroom is a mess! Not sure the last time it's been cleaned. The floors are covered in garbage , doors are dirty .. yuck.. and the grossest thing was that in the 2 weeks we were there, he never took the trash out. And we are not talking about a tiny garbage can, we are talking about a 50 gallon garbage bin full of crap and food for 2 weeks:/ after week one the room smelled bad! We actually mentioned it to him but he didn't even bother to take care of it. Very lazy, unprofessional and likes to intimidate people! He should not be teaching!

In our class, most every person had been CPR qualified at some point or another, including myself, so it was more of a refresher course than it was learning new material. We had three instructors, one full time employee of the Red Cross and two volunteers, for our class size of about 15. The class was approximately three hours long and not, to my surprise, an all day affair like I had experienced in the past. This was the perfect amount of time, especially for an afternoon course on a summer day. While the Red Cross does offer online courses for CPR now, I would highly recommend to just sign up and go in person for the training. You have the instructors right there in front of you to answer any questions that you may have, and you also can learn from your other classmates as well. The Northeast Florida Chapter for the American Red Cross is nestled just between the Cummer and Riverside Arts Market. I'm sure that they have been at this location for a long while, but it's a perfectly central spot in the city.

My son walks into the play area and jumps on a bike. They go outside 3 times a day. The teachers are great, personable and caring. I always was walking into the school late, around 9:30 am and I saw the school busy. All of the kids, in all of the classes I passed by, were happy and busy doing some cool activity. They have a lot of free play time. And so many different things to do and play with. I would highly recommend it to other parents who want their kids to have free play. We will miss it alot. I am moving outside the country.
