Both times the work that Mike O'Connell and his team did had a meaningful impact on final outcome. I'm pleased to share my experiences. When I suspected my then wife was having an affair, my family-law attorney suggested Mike and his team determine if my suspicions were correct. Mike and his team did surveillance of her activities and kept me posted throughout the process. In a short time, Mike determined my wife not only had an affair with her boss but also had a second affair after her boss ended the first relationship. When Mike showed me the evidence he and his team gathered, I was astonished. First, I was amazed at how close he and his team got to my wife and her affair partner, and my wife and friends - as they openly talked about her affairs in social settings. I clearly understood why my attorney recommended Mike - he and his team are exceptional at what they do. To do surveillance so close without being detected requires someone at the top of his profession. That's Mike. Second, the evidence gathered went beyond my expectations. Yes, Mike not only had evidence to prove my wife had had two affairs during the marriage but Mike got other evidence that painted a portrait of a woman gone off the rails. Mike had evidence of my wife bragging about how her strategy in the divorce was deny, deny, deny and her saying "my husband could show me a video of me having sex with another guy and I wouldn't admit it was me!" Mike and his team also gathered numerous examples of my wife drinking and driving, including her driving with open containers. In one instance, Mike and his team followed her to the supermarket. She emerged with a case of beer. After picking up her affair partner - who was engaged to another woman - to go to a bar to meet their coworkers, they cracked open a couple of cans of beer and drove north on the interstate. Mike had pictures and video showing her driving and drinking. On this and all other occasions, Mike documented the number of drinks she had and the times of each drink. He also had video of her driving impaired, weaving in and out of lanes. And Mike had evidence that my wife's best friend was also engaging in less than wifely behavior. When my attorney presented this evidence to my wife's attorney, she decided to negotiate a settlement that was very beneficial to me. My wife went from offering me visitation with my 3 minor children 6 night per month to agreeing to joint legal and shared custody (50/50). She also agreed to give up all claims to my substantial retirement. After about a year, my then ex-wife made a plan to move my three minor children to rural Maryland, over an hour away. She informed my 9-year old daughter she would be moving to Maryland and would not see daddy as much - and my 9-year promptly told me. Again, my attorney advised hiring Mike to get evidence that she was planning this secret move. Mike and his team followed her to Maryland to document where she was planning to move, who she was planning to move in with, and do the requisite background checks on the latest guy ( who she met three months earlier). We were able to use this evidence to get an emergency motion to keep the children in school in Northern Virginia. Next Mike got evidence to document my ex-wife violated the emergency order by taking the children to Maryland on school nights - we used Mike's evidence to have her held in contempt. And Mike and his team gathered evidence that my ex-wife was leaving our minor children (including a 3-year old) unattended in the residence while she and the new guy went out to the camper each night. Mike's report and compelling testimony were key factors in me gaining full custody of my 3 minor children, getting child suport, and having the court order my ex-wife to reimburse legal costs associated with her secret plan to tear the children away from me.
