Greg and I exchanged a few emails and set a date to meet and talk about shooting the wedding. I met with Greg and got to see some of his wedding work in person and I fell in love with the photos. Greg is incredibly creative and he has a knack for lighting. I was amazed with the majority of the photos that I saw and I confirmed that he was the photographer for the wedding. Greg stayed in touch in the months, weeks and days prior to the wedding. I never worried about not getting a response back - he is very prompt in his responses. We spoke about a week before the wedding and went over some final details and Greg even made suggestions on altering my wedding timeline to make the day run a little smoother. Greg showed up with a team the day of the wedding and immediately got to work shooting. Greg was present at all times ... captured details that I didn't think could be captured. I cannot express how happy I am with the way that my photos turned out. They're absolutely amazing and perfect. My friends and family members have given rave reviews - they even made comments the day of the wedding ranging from: "Greg and his team were really nice people!" "The photographers were everywhere!!!" "I can't wait to see your pictures, the photographers really seemed to know what they were doing!" I loved having Greg shoot my wedding ... he made me feel at ease. I love my wedding photos ... they're everything I hoped they'd be. Choosing Sandi was by far the easiest decision we made when it came to wedding planning. She had…read morephotographed the wedding of some friends of ours and we were so impressed that when my sister got engaged, I recommended Sandi. Working with Sandi at my sister's wedding was so great that we didn't bother talking to any other photographers before booking her and Marilyn for our wedding last June. She not only takes amazing, beautiful photographs, but she's just so NICE. She's just great with people, including little kids and getting them to look at the camera and smile. Both Sandi and Marilyn went way beyond photographing - they helped pin on boutonnieres (none of us knew how!!), they helped button my dress (ladies, do not underestimate how long it will take to do all those buttons going up your back! Save at least 15-20 minutes just for that!), and even helped fix my hair whenever a bobby pin started to slip out or if something didn't look quite right. Once the festivities begin, I didn't even notice they were there, but I just got the photos back, and am amazed at how well they captured the whole event. It's so wonderful because there are so many things that, as the couple getting married, you just miss because there's so much going on and time flies by so quickly. Sandi actually did my high school senior portraits (which I loved), and at the time I saw her wedding portfolio and it was like nothing I'd ever seen before, it was like she was telling a story, instead of just posing people. I just fell in love with her work, so I pretty much knew, if possible, she would shoot my wedding. Eight years later, I got engaged, and within two weeks we had picked a venue, secured a date, called Sandi and booked her, and I am SO happy we did. The day of our wedding, Sandi made a point to know the name of every member of our bridal party almost instantly, which made everyone feel special and made all of those large group shots SO much easier because Sandi wasn't saying "Hey bridesmaid #2, move a little to the left!" She was just so helpful and always smiling. Then the day after our wedding, we had multiple family members telling us how wonderful our photographer was and how personable she was and how amazing it was that she was always just sort of there at the perfect moment to catch the perfect shoot. I will say, it took 4-6 weeks to get our pictures back from Sandi, which I thought would've been a really hard wait, but it was actually kind of exciting, because right when the thrill of getting married starts to die down a little, you get your wedding pictures back and it's like reliving the whole magical day all over again. And it was so worth the wait, for all 1600 beautifully edited pictures. Like I said, I just can't say enough great things about her. I had a senior session for my daughter which was ok. The prices are rather steep considering the…read morequality of the photos. The photographer uses a camera that you or I could invest in and the "natural" lighting for photos outside of the studio. The studio shots made my daughter's face look very greasy from all the lighting used in the space of the studio. The pricing changed several times and the deal on Yelp was not provided to me although the photographer said it was. I would definitely shop around and/or ask all the questions you have in writing before signing a contract. I am cutting my losses with the actual sitting fee cost I paid. I WILL NOT be purchasing ANY of the photos from this photographer. Nor will I use this photographer again in the future. I'd like to respond to the photographer's comment. The photographer does not know why I chose to provide my Yelp review now. However, I will share my reasons. After going back and forth with rescheduling a date for the session (once on my terms another on her's) we had the session in October. I purchased the discount deal on Yelp after consulting with the photographer and her asking me where I found her (I found her on Yelp). She just said ok. When we spoke afterwards and I informed her I purchased the deal on Yelp. She tells me she already gave me a discount. During the consultation the photographer asked if it would be an indoor/outdoor session. I exclaimed I would like both so she quoted me a session sitting fee quote for both. The photographer stated in her response to my review she gave me a discount for an indoor/outdoor session. She never stated at the time of the consultation it was for the Yelp discount or that you can only use one discount. I would have made the decision that worked out as the best deal. She provided the online gallery for my review. Before entering the online gallery to review the photos she has a rating/review pop up. In order for you to enter the photos for review you have to rate it review her. I've never seen business practices like this. If your confident about the work you provide you would allow you customers to rate/review you after they review your work. Some of the pictures were good (the offsite photos) others were awful. All the indoor shots in her studio were awful! The indoor studio shots were where all her cap and gown shots were taken. The photographer had an abundance of lighting in her studio and only used "natural" lighting for the gym and outdoor shots. Needless to say, as a "PROFESSIONAL" photographer you prepare and provide lighting regardless. I'm not sure how this photographer feels she went above and beyond for me but, myself along with my daughter were her assistants for the session. So if anyone went above and beyond...it may be the client. Here nor there, I took my lost on the sitting fee cost I paid her for her time. Her quality of photography is by no means the quality of going to a studio. Do your research and get everything in black and white so you do not get bamboozled for SERVICE, QUALITY and YOUR VISION!

While we had a team of amazing vendors for our wedding, Steve and Jane are by far THE BEST CHOICE my husband and I made. We found them through a local wedding expo; by that time, we already had an excellent photographer in mind, but then we saw their pieces at the expo and could not get their artwork out of our heads. Steve and Jane are a wonderful couple who work seamlessly together. They're friendly, funny, professional, and just so easy to work with. We also LOVED their style of photography, especially how they use light to enhance their work. They are also extremely responsive, flexible, personable, and handled the crazy wedding schedule (especially the chaotic family portrait) calmly with zen. I think I would've broken down many, many times during the wedding day if it wasn't for them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for anyone who's looking for photographers who can take unique, timeless wedding photos. As a side note, Steve and Jane just opened their studio in Waldorf, Maryland. I loved working with them so much that if I need professional portrait in the future, I am definitely going to them!

I planned my wedding in less than three months (call me crazy-I wanted a summer wedding and didn't want to wait an entire year to get married from the time I was engaged) and found Steve and Jane at the Wedding Experience show in Dulles. First of all, they are my type of people! They say one of the most important things when choosing a photographer is finding someone you jive with and I just knew from the moment I met them both they were down to earth, cool people. They are passionate about what they do and it's so apparent every time we met. Our initial meeting was at a Starbucks in Capitol Hill, which they drove to from all the way out in MD, just to accommodate us. They came prepared with examples, a slideshow, printed books and armed with answers to every question we could think of at the time. They were also very responsive to emails and offered to chat/text whenever I had a question. Leading up to the date, I was extremely busy planning my wedding. One word of advice--be a good client, too! I was late with pretty much everything they asked me for (shot list, contact list) but they were super sweet about everything! They definitely can deal with a stressed out bride and groom very well! Our package included an engagement shoot but my fiance had to travel and then the one night it would have worked, it rained so I cancelled-again, very accommodating. I wish we would have had the time to do the engagement shots but it just didn't pan out! Hopefully we will do a shoot with them sometime in the near future! So, day of the wedding--pouring rain! My dream outdoor wedding was ruined and at the last minute we had to go with Plan B. Jane and Steve were prepped for the rain (we did a few shots outside under an umbrella with a light in it and let me tell you those pictures came out amazing!). They also worked extremely hard to keep me occupied and do a full-out bridal shoot due to some important members of our wedding party that were late. They went above and beyond to make our day extra special--they even helped pin flowers and fix my veil throughout the evening! I don't even know if they ate anything because they were constantly shooting (I have Italian guilt about this still)! They even stayed late because we ran over our time so much due to the wedding starting so late. They were by far the rockstar vendors of our wedding! On-time, professional, kind, worked well under pressure and did it all with a smile on their face! Fast-forward eight weeks and our pictures arrived via email on their site. I had a few questions about some shots and they addressed them right away. The pictures came out absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! I showed them to some of my friends and they told me they looked like pictures from a magazine. Steve and Jane, thank you for being so amazing, professional, fun and great at what you do!
