    DO NOT BUY YOUR COUCHES FROM HERE!!!! They definitely don't make them how they used to. I will never set foot in a Steinhafels for the rest of my life, and I will be telling everyone I know not to shop here either, I will shout it from the roof tops for everyone to hear. They are building a location in my hometown in Illinois and I will be spamming all the local groups about my experience. We bought the 3 piece Snuggler in August, received it in October, it's February now and the wooden frame of the couch has broken FOUR times in two of the 3 pieces. Twice in the piano wedge and twice in the long sectional part. We have the warranty that offers repairs at not cost, but I am absolutely sick of wasting time waiting for repairs, setting aside work to deal with repairmen and delivery men taking the couch in and out, they've banged up my wall 2 times now bringing it out. One of the repairmen that has been to my home twice now told me they don't use quality wood wherever they make these couches, thanks that makes me feel sooo much better with my purchase. And I also have to deal with the fact that I spent thousands of dollars on a defective piece of garbage that I can no longer return. Looks like I have to send this piece of trash in for repairs every other month for the next 5 years. Please save yourself the trouble. I wish a bought a much simpler couch.

    Sigh. I am so disappointed in my experience at Steinhafel's. I was moving and in need of new furniture. I had always heard great things about Steinhafels, and my parents had gotten great pieces over the years. Went in for their July 4th sale, and Jordan waited on us. Because I was moving, I didn't want to pay to move my old furniture, that is silly. Instead, I was having it junked and would get the new pieces in the new place. I was very upfront about this--I didn't mind waiting a bit for pieces, but wanted furniture by early August. Jordan was able to look up what pieces were in stock or back-ordered easy enough. The couch I fell in love with was back-ordered--he said it would be available for delivery by early August, so I went with it. I also got a new chair (I mean, it has to match the couch right?), new bar Istools and a lift-up coffee table. Steinhafel's online site said the couch was expected in late August--I get worried but Jordan warned me they always pad the delivery dates. However, after a couple weeks without furniture (and WFH--this is during the pandemic), I emailed Jordan to get an ETA my couch. Crickets. I then decide to called the general customer service line. They said they didn't know when the couch is coming, but delivery is behind by like 4 weeks--so even if my couch came in the next day, it could be a month before I see it. EEK!!!! I asked if there was any way to get the rest of my order. Luckily, they were able to do it and luckily, again, they had an unexpected delivery opening that Monday! Yay. I was so disappointed in the delivery. They were late after the two hour window (i mean, i get it) but then when they showed up--one of the staff was VERY nice and had a mask on. The other did not. Milwaukee has a mask mandate. They also did not have a dolly, which I really cannot understand. They saw someone else in my apt had one and asked if there was another they could use. Not having a dolly made the delivery take like 3x as long. My coffee table also had a big gouge in it. They said I had 5 days to call and ask for a replacement. I get that things happen, but I was really shocked that Steinhafel's would even deliver a piece of furniture like this. Anyway, the coffee table isn't even why I'm really upset. I call Jordan to follow up on getting a table replacement and also like..when in the world am I getting my couch. He says it should be in by August 7th. I ask about the 4 week waiting period. He said he'd get me to the front of the line. Yay! He also says they cannot coordinate the table replacement with the couch delivery, which....is just annoying during a pandemic, especially when the drivers don't wear masks. August 7th comes and goes...I do not hear from Jordan, and he doesn't respond to voicemails. Sigh, again. Call customer service. They basically admit that yeah...this thing isn't coming in until probably Sept. and their drivers are super backed up(even if you get priority) so I may not see the couch til like...October (!!!). Ok, here's the thing...we're in the middle of a pandemic. Orders are behind. Drivers are behind. I 100% get it. I"m not an awful person. What upsets me is the total lack of communication and updates from Steinhafels. I should have gotten a call/email/something that told me this. Instead of me having to call 2 different people multiple times to try to get answers. Hell--I ordered a $20 shower curtain from Bed, Bath & Beyond and I got an email letting me know that it was delayed. There is absolutely no reason Steinhafels cannot do this! (BTW went to Built Rite--told them I needed a couch ASAP. They delivered a beautiful couch less than a week later, drivers both had masks, and a dolly!) Update: yep didn't even give me the correct refund. They have no idea why and are "looking into it". ‍‍‍‍

    Horrible experience with them . Don't buy Furniture or Designer help for $400 total waste of money . Designer never let us know special order furniture was in ? After Designer was told , we were unhappy after delivery said she was to busy to call me and I should call her ? Really ? Quality of Furniture VERY POOR . Stein awful Service came out to see tear in Chase , and ordered replacement which took weeks . On the second visit service brought new replacement, and noticed the under cover was torn and just left the New one laying on sofa ? And said he had to order a replacement with no idea when ? Tried to return furniture and get money balance returned for Designer services . Received a call from Manager and said we cannot receive balance back on Designer Service. They are awful and wouldn't recommend them to anyone Buyer beware

    3rd table I had to pick up and take home only to find it too had a crushed corner due to mishandling.

I bought a sectional from them in September 2021 which they…read moresaid would take about 3 months to be available due to Covid etc. 3 months pass and I get an automated text in December that it's ready to pick up, and that I only had the next 3 days to do so. On Christmas week. I got it done, it had been a stressful month for me personally and you throw that on top of it it was just a lot.. but no complaints on the sectional, I love it. I just wish they gave you more time for pick up. I had to wait 3 months, and they gave me 3 days. Don't choose delivery unless you're all for the convenience. They charge based on how expensive your order is. My sectional was over $2000 and they wanted $270 for delivery...pass. I rented a uhaul and picked it up no problem. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I went into the store to checkout counter stools. I found some that I liked but went home to make sure that's what I wanted. I ordered them online the next day. Then I got a text saying I could call about my order details. I called (this was Sunday) and they told me I could pickup anytime next week Monday after 2pm. I went there that next week Monday at 3pm to pick them up and they told me the stools weren't there and that they aren't even in the truck yet. I told them that someone over the phone told me I could get them today. She said no, you'll get a text saying they're ready for pickup and have to schedule a time. I was real irritated. Waste of my time. Blew off 2 separate plans to go do that after work. Then of course 2 days later is when I get that text. I went back in there, pickup was no issue. We got home and had to assemble the chair legs etc and one of the legs was missing a "foot". It sucked but we had a quick solution. Then I notice the feet are scratching my floor so bad. So... we pried all the feet out of the legs and put pads on instead. Problem solved. I rate a 3 because the stuff I've bought from them is nice quality- I love both the stools and sectional. But the foot issue with the stool really irked me and so did the pickup miscommunication. I plan to order a new area rug from them too soon so I hope I don't have any more issues.

I paid the $100 for delivery and the day before delivery I was told it was not ready and I had to schedule out another 1-2 weeks. I requested a refund to my delivery fee as their part of the deal was not upheld. I was told to call customer service where they went back and fourth with me for 20 minutes saying all they could give me was $23 off. I've never dealt with such poor customer service.

They have a grapefruit mint candle that is natural and smells refreshing, and I wanted to get that again. We did not get a hello or welcome. When paying for my candle, the owner said hello, my total, and asked me to punch in my card pin. Honestly, it felt as if we were stepping on toes for entering their shop close to closing. We weren't the last customers in the shop, and we were left the store 10 minutes prior to closing. When we left, the owner immediately ran outside and pulled in her sign and closed the door. My friend and I both talked about how unwelcomed we felt, and unfortunately, we decided we will not be coming back here. It has nothing to do with the items inside the shop, but it is a crummy feeling when you want to support a small business but are left feeling rushed and unappreciated.
