I was in there a week or so ago waiting my turn for a repair and I saw a customer go ballistic on the proprietor because he wasn't getting his way. I wasn't listening to the details but the owner was calmly explaining his rationale to the customer who was arguing with him. This customer went over the top and escalated rapidly when he did not get what he wanted. He blew out of the store violently slamming the door and yelling threats about negative reviews he was going to post everywhere. The proprietor stayed behind the counter as he ran out. This is a small low key place. The owner left the store after a minute or so to try and reason with him outside but the customer was not willing to talk and he screeched off in his car yelling things. It was pretty remarkable. The owner was calm and professional and seemed to be offering a reasonable explanation to this fellow from what I saw. At no time did he provoke or treat this guy badly. In my dealings here I have been treated fairly and efficiently. I feel safe in the store and with these people. I go in here a lot. They are consistent. What I see in this small business is a steady stream of pleasant type customers who get it that we are enjoying a nice family service that is quite convenient and much less expensive than the alternatives. read more

Hello everyone, I've been using this company for over 3 years now. Rowaid has been fixing my friends and families phones and computers since his business has was at his previous location. I've used several different places but I'd rather use Stella. Any issues get resolved quickly and his prices are very reasonable. I've read Erica's review and was very surprised. If you had important things that were stored on your PC/phone than transferring those to a flash drive or disk should have been the 1st thing you ask about. His job is to fix your electronic issue not worry about what possibly can be lost unless you mention the importance of what's stored. The other issue seems more like he's protecting his business. If there wasn't a problem and no worries on anyone's part than the police arriving shouldn't have been an issue except to set things straight. All in all I will continue to take my business to Stella and I will also continue to refer him to EVERYONE. These are good honest people doing there best to please and make an honest living. I had a MacBook Air that needed new batteries as it would not turn on and Stela Tech offered to diagnose my issue for free. Brought my laptop a d the gentleman there inspected it, plugged it in, then after seeing it shut off once unplugged was able to quickly pull it apart. He showed me the batteries were showing damage and was able to quickly quite me a couple prices using Apple batteries or a cheaper generic one. Both options were reasonably priced, so I chose the Apple product. He offered me rush delivery if I needed but I didn't. Dropped it off on a Thursday, it was done the following Monday. The service was great and they have an interesting Congressional award for being one of the very best businesses in Massachusetts, which the owner was very proud of. (As he should be!) All in all my experience here was very good, the owner/tech is very knowledgeable and I loved the free diagnostic and estimate which was very quick. Rowaid and Stela Tech are awesome. I ended up breaking a small part when changing out a battery on my Retina Macbook, and after calling a business closer to me, he was the only one to pick up the phone on the first try, and give me a rough (well-priced compared to everyone else) estimate over the phone. I brought it in, and he took a quick look at it and was able to re-attach the broken piece in about a minute, and charged me nothing! In this day and age he could have easily said it was busted and he would have to do very careful micro-soldering to replace the small piece on the board, and getting a sale. Instead I was in and out in 20 minutes, and it was only that long because there was a prior customer, and because we talked for a bit about another computer. This gentleman was lovely! Sorry I don't have his name. After 2 1/2 yrs I finally got an upgrade from an iPhone 4 to the 6. I was soo excited... but despite ~17 yrs of owning cell phones which I'd never lost or damaged, I didn't have a good case for it (don't "cheap out" like I did!!) & managed to drop it & break the glass only 3 days after getting it! Major bummer! I read about this business online & was impressed by the reviews & I'm happy to write this one. Not only did he replace the glass while I waited, but he was a real human being & we had a wonderful chat. Having, ahem, bought 2 cheap cases, I thought I'd go back & get one of his. My son's laptop had a broken screen at the hinge point which spider cracked the entire screen. The HP was only a little over 12 months old. We went to Stela Tech because we didn't know how to access the Serial Number to get a phone text quote. Rowaid gave us a quote in person & said if he could obtain the right screen it'd be done in 5 days, if he got one in AZ maybe 2 days & around $400 due to cost of the screens normally & his labor included. We signed the estimate & left the laptop. Rowain called & said it came in that day & he'd have it ready the next for $375. Very impressed with the promptness of being served in the 24 hour turn around & $25 less than estimated. I had originally taken my very broken iPhone 6 to Best Buy to be fixed and three days later they told me they were unable to fix it. I was ready to spend $300 on a brand new phone when I made a last ditch effort to get it fixed at Stela. Not only did he do a FANTASTIC job of fixing the phone, it took no more than 30 minutes, and costed less than 50% of what I was prepared to pay at Best Buy. When I noticed there was a slight issue with my camera, I took it back and he immediately fixed it no questions asked (it was under the 30 day warranty). I am SO happy and relieved that I took my phone here, and I will continue to go to them for all future repairs. I highly recommend their service over any other phone/tech repair service. read more

I have used Stela Tech three times over the last year and a half and am impressed by their knowledge and customer focused service. The first experience was replacing a cracked chrome book screen. It was done promptly and inexpensively. I had stopped previously at Best Buy and they were unable or unwilling to help. Recently the battery needed replacing in this same chromebook. On 5/28/2015, I called upon Stela Tech for help with my sister's Galaxy S4 that she dropped on the ground near her home and shattered the glass. My iPad screen was utterly smashed when I dropped it on the street!!! Best Buy and the Apple Store said that screen replacements don't work, aren't recommended and I should just buy a new expensive iPad. I was skeptical but a friend recommended Stela Tech to replace the screen. I wasn't certain about having full functionality restored but went anyway. The owner was busy but still managed to replace my iPad screen in around 4-5 hrs and I bought an additional screen for it. The iPad works great. I had a severely damaged LG phone. Rowaid (the owner) was there on a Saturday (seemingly) by himself took the phone to work on it. It took him till Monday to get it done but it was fixed. I took the time to speak with him to get to know him on a personal level. He would love to talk to you about his heritage if you and he have the time. So I have found my tech. I called and inquired about repairing a cell phone screen. I was given the quote, which I felt was great. I was given directions to the store. These guys totally rock. I brought in an old, old cell phone with a battery so bad it had bulged out the phone on both sides. I was told by the manufacturer the battery couldn't be replaced. But they did it anyway, and the price was extremely reasonable. A few weeks later I had a charging issue with my tablet. Instead of ripping me off or charging me for a battery I didn't need, they sold me a $9 cord that fixed the problem. I highly, highly recommend them. Honest and fair. read more

I broke my phone screen a little over a week ago and I have been researching where to get a screen fixed for the lowest price. Stella Tech was the cheapest fix with the best quality. My phone screen was shredded. I went to several places and they had told me that it would cost over $200 to fix it. The phone doesn't even cost that much, so when I called him and he just said to bring it in and I will fix it. It was less than $100, and he had to order it overnight shipping. We brought our daughter's tablet in for a charging port replacement and the turn around time was great. We brought it in on a Saturday and it was done by that Monday.
