So when you see that gravel alleyway that looks the the driveway of a mobile home, that's where you need to turn in. Inside is a big open area with a square-shaped bar in the center. The walls are covered in hundreds of photos of the bar's loyal patrons. The bartender lamented to me about how the bar business is really hurting in Chillicothe because so many of the town's young people have been moving away. "We have really low overhead, though, so we'll be fine," she added. She's probably right. Most of the other bars in town have either recently closed or changed hands. But the Traphouse has been going strong for years. A big part of that is that of those that have survived, it's the most "real".

The chicken was some of the best we've ever had and I would have to say I thought the white gravy was amazing as well. I am not saying a blast because it's clean, full, and what you'd consider to generally be a good time. I say it was a blast because it was completely random, unexpected, full of character. The regulars who could have easily scoffed at us, gave us hugs on our way out. This is a locals bar, but, we were welcomed as soon as we entered and stayed for hours chatting and enjoying the tropical vibe of the place. They have karaoke nights and a big outdoor area in the back where it seems people gather during nicer weather days. There weren't many in our group and we had slowly filtered in so we couldn't have overwhelmed her. Food was also slow to come out. Even when there was just a handful of people and only a couple had ordered food, it was slllooow. BUT it was good, and hot when it hit the table. Cocktail drinks weren't great either, so most of us stuck with beer. This pool hall is a members only place so I won't be back as I don't play. Despite not having the best experience it was nice to see the place one last time.
