They care and are determined to do a great job - even when one of them was sick for several weeks, everything got covered - they never miss a beat, appointment, or cleaning. Before the clean, during, and after, she was very respectful and positive, and she didn't waste any time getting started. She brought her own equipment. Her hourly rates are some of the best I can find in the area, too. When problems arose and our date of service had to be pushed back (neither of our faults, life happens and did, in fact, happen), she made offers to help compensate for the delays. Jim was always available at a moments notice to come to the job site and address any problems. Our plans went through approval with the state of Ohio quickly and without issue. I have worked with several other Architects who were not as accessible or timely and I ran into problems with their designs and had to come up with the solutions on my own. There is another review that talks about a poor design for a medical building because the windows are floor to ceiling. I just want to point out that an Architect designs what a client requests and it is up to the client to review the plans and change what does not suit their needs. I can not speak to the other issues encountered and I have never worked with the other two architects in this firm but after reading that negative review I felt compelled to put in a good word for Jim Thomas because I could not have had a better experience.

I can not say enough positive things about my experience. The owner, Brian, was wonderful to work with. Brian was easy to reach, answered all of my questions thoroughly and was very flexible regarding design. I had a design sketch from him within a day or two of initially contacting him...he also provided me with revision mock-ups so that I could see what I liked best. Once I had selected my final design, Brian completed working on it within a week! I was concerned about having it delivered by a certain date, and so I selected to have it shipped via 2-Day Air. Brian actually contacted me to inform me that I should receive my sign within the same time frame as 2-Day Air even if he just shipped via Ground Shipping...he asked if I would be okay with that and refunded me the extra money which I had paid for the original shipping method! Amazing customer service! To top it all off, the finished product is simply GORGEOUS! Everyone who sees the sign absolutely loves it! Overall, I was impressed with Brian and his company from beginning to end. Being a business owner myself, I try very hard to always give my clients a great experience. I am delighted to say that I have found this trait in Brian and Rocky Knob Woodcrafts as well. I liked what I saw on the Rocky Knob website, so I ordered a sign. It is fabulous, and it is made out of a material that looks to me like it will last a long time. I won't know quickly whether or not it will last, but it certainly is beautiful and sturdy.
