Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced…read more I had active insurance when I saw the doctor and was prescribed custom orthotics because I was in severe pain. The orthotics arrived at the office on June 17, yet no one bothered to notify me. Weeks later, I had to repeatedly call the office myself to ask if they had arrived. After over a week of trying to get an answer, I was finally told they had been sitting in the office since June. I was then informed I would have to pay $597 because my insurance had ended in July. I explained that my insurance was active when the orthotics arrived and that I should have been notified in June. The staff member falsely claimed she had called me. I checked my phone records, and there was no call or voicemail from the office. To make matters worse, when I asked about the charge, she laughed while repeating, "$597," and spoke to me in a rude and condescending manner. There was no empathy, no apology, and no attempt to help resolve the issue. It's unfortunate because the doctor's reputation is overshadowed by an office staff that is disorganized, unprofessional, and dismissive of patients. No one should be treated this way, especially when they are already in pain. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.

A physical…read moretherapist sent us here to get them several years ago and the orthotics have been working well for him so we continue to go back each year for new ones as his foot grows. You'll need a prescription from a Dr to be seen, which I always get easily from our pediatrician. I book our appointments a year out since they get busy. I have changed appointments on occasion, which can be difficult to find a time, but doable. We are usually in and out within 45 minutes for appointment #1 and then back about a month later to get the actual orthotics. It can be challenging to find the right shoes to fit them in, but i"ve found new balance wide sneakers work best. All the staff here are great and I see no reason we won't continue to go here for our orthotic needs.

Our 3 month baby has finally transitioned from the cast to the Dobbs Bar. When we went to get them fitted we against didn't know what to expect. We took the technicians words very seriously. He said "tight is never tight enough" and continued to tighten the straps. As he did this our baby screamed at the top of his lungs. We just assumed because this was a new contraption and the Dobbs bar forced his feet into a new position he was just uncomfortable. As the night continued he continued to scream, and through additional research and blogs we thought this was a normal reaction. He wasn't sleeping properly, and his milk intake dropped to half. We started to worry and went through the possible check list of what could be the issue outside of the bar. By the next day (still within the 23 hour wear period) he was a completely different baby, my husband made the executive decision to take the boots off and see if that was the issue and it was. Our sons feet was swollen, blood shot red and blistered due to how tight he technician put his boots on. From everything we read these were ALL the things we needed to avoid, but due to the technicians hurry he continued to tighten the boots. We rushed to the pediatrician office, they confirmed no fever, infection, and did a full check up to make sure he was ok. Thankfully our baby is extremely resilient, but now he must be without cast or boots for at least 4 days and will most likely be recasted once his blisters heal. Causing what we think will be regression of his clubfeet. Our advice listen to your baby!! The technician isn't always correct, and they treat every patient like a they are some cookie cutter subject. I don't recommend this clinic for boots and bar fitting. If you do go there because it's convenient, question question question the technician. If your child is screaming at the top of their lungs, stop everything and check the feet. If they continue to scream at home, remove the boots check the skin and put the boots back on yourself.

No one discussed the cost with me, asked whether I wanted the brace, or informed me that it would be billed at a substantial amount through my insurance. A few weeks later, I received a bill showing that I owed a hefty amount for this brace. I was shocked. Had I been told the cost upfront, I would have declined it and purchased one myself for a fraction of the price. When I called the office to express my concerns, I spoke with a front desk representative named Marina. Rather than addressing my concerns, I found her response dismissive and rude. What bothers me most is the lack of transparency. The entire experience felt very scammy to me, and it left me with serious concerns about this practice's billing practices and patient communication.

I assumed her shoes were small, but a week after replacing her shoe collection with the next size up she was still complaining. One night she begged me to make a dr appointment to figure out what was wrong with her toes. I called Dunn Foot & Ankle since Brian Dunn came recommended by many friends. I called on a Friday and they were able to squeeze her in for an appointment the next Monday! Considering how hard it is to get doctor appointments these days that alone is worth 5 stars. We showed up a few minutes early for our 11:10am appt and saw Dr. Dunn within promptly. She explained her toe issues and he took a look at her feet and immediately knew what the issue was- a combination of flat feet, bunions and a lot of tennis! Unfortunately, she had inherited my flat feet issues. Fortunately, he had a solution. He fit her for custom orthotics and showed me a toe spacer to buy on amazon that she could wear when playing tennis. The orthotics will take 3 weeks to arrive, but she tried the toe spacer at tennis tonight and said they already feel much better! I've actually been meaning to get custom orthotics for my flat feet myself so he even squeezed me in right after my daughter. I look forward to picking up our orthotics in a few weeks and had an amazing experience. I can see why Dr. Dunn has so many fans!

On August 10, 2023, I met with Dr, Noxon at Illinois Bone and Joint in Glenview. I gave him 5 pairs of custom-made orthotics that he had made for me. After six weeks, his lab did not complete the modifications of my orthotics, and he along with his staff stopped answering my calls. I am shocked and dismayed that he just walked away from me, leaving me without any pairs of orthotics to use. He was the original doctor that prescribed the orthotics for me, about ten years ago! I need these orthotics to walk in comfort. For the last three months I have had blood blisters and quite a lot of pain because I don't have them. I find Dr. Noxon's lack of response unconscionable and totally unprofessional. He refused to answer my communications. He accepted my orthotics for repair and then just walked away from his professional responsibility. It is very expensive to replace these five pairs of orthotics on my own and Medicare does not pay for them. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and can't afford to replace them. This is not the Dr. Noxon I knew and trusted. I'm writing this review so others will know about his disappointing, unprofessional behavior.

Today I watched. I observed closely. It turns out this place is so busy, and they know so many patients by name here, that I now understand why getting in is a privilege. Again, they scooted me in, but this time everyone in the office was upbeat, organized, and there was even a kooky lady in the waiting room who made sure everyone waiting became a part of her experience of trying on new special footwear shoes. It was annoying, but also it keep me amused while I waited. Dr. Noxon is my hero and his doctors in training are fantastic and caring. And, today my experience in this office with the rest of the staff was stellar. I have a complex foot situation that is perplexing the doctors, but the focus today was finding a way to deal with the pain in response to the results of my MRI. Today I received my first cortisone shot - ever - in my life. It was a piece of cake! I expected the worse. Noxon also prescribed an anti-inflammatory and asked me to leave him a text 4 hours after the shot to see how I was doing in order to help him understand a bit more about my reaction to it and to help him further diagnose my situation. He's already thinking ahead and has a next step plan in place if the current one doesn't work out. He cares, and you can really tell. It's nice to feel like I'm in good safe hands. Fantastic bedside manner. Note: Dr. Noxon is an Olympic runner, and he lives and breathes a great healthy lifestyle... so he knows feet and I'm sure pain somewhere in there too.
