Ms. Soto, the principal, is an incredible leader always goes above and beyond to support students and families. She is approachable, compassionate, and deeply invested in creating a positive learning environment. Her leadership sets the tone for the entire school. The teachers are attentive, patient, and truly dedicated. They not only challenge students academically but also nurture their social and emotional growth. We are grateful for it.

But do NOT send your kids here for middle school and high school. Thales has extremely poor curriculums, space, and funding for the JH/HS. Specifically on the Cary campus. While I spent my time at Thales each year there would be a significant amount of staff leaving the school. Every year almost all of the teachers would be new. The reason why is because the school is in so much debt that they are making budgets cuts to teacher salary. While also using a building that is so small for the students. For reference, there are not many kids at the school at all. There is 10 freshmen, 5 juniors, 6 seniors, 13 sophomores. But yet the hallways are always crammed with such a small amount of kids because the buildings they chose to have were not mean't to have a school in. My senior year, there wasn't enough staff due to them all leaving, so me and my friends were eating lunch on gym bleachers everyday, since there is no cafeteria, and there wasn't enough teachers to have us eat in one of there classrooms. Thales academy is a 7,000 dollar a year school, but you could get a much better experience at any other public school. DO NOT send your kids here, look for a different private or charter school as an alternative. This school is atrocious.

We were nervous leaving our daycare of 4 years, but having dedicated teachers instead of staff with a high turnover has made a huge difference. They've taken the time to work 1:1 with him on several things we've been concerned about, and the growth we've seen has been incredible. Chesterbrook assured us we'd likely get in within about six months. Fast-forward seven months: we received an email letting us know we won't be getting off the waitlist after all. But no worries- Chesterbrook (and their capital partner, Primavera Capital Group) has generously volunteered to keep our $100 registration fee for "safe keeping." So unless you've got the right connections and can pull some strings, save yourself the donation and don't bother.
