I moved to SF from DC about 4…read moreyears ago and up until about a year ago I refused to get my hair cut in the city because I didn't want to go through the process of finding a new hair stylist which sounds dramatic but it's true lol. When I finally tried one place in SF, it was a pretty bad experience. Cue: The Red Fox Salon. I randomly found this salon and Lynsey and decided to give it a go. I have never been so happy with my hair! I have fine, thin hair so it can be really challenging for me to get a cut that makes me feel good! But if you also do, Lynsey is absolutely your gal. She provides lots of tips for hair health as well. Not to mention she is the sweetest and will immediately put you at ease with how friendly she is. The salon itself is also bright and airy and very cute. I've also bought a couple of the all natural hair products she has there which I've liked! She absolutely will not pressure you whatsoever to buy though. Price is also reasonable for an SF haircut and it's well worth it. Do not hesitate to try this salon!

I also appreciate how protective she is of my hair. She taught me how to treat my hair at night to maintain a no heat home care method that still provides silky texture and curls. She also is very observant to how my hair is responding. I have referred many friends to Shay and I almost hate to write this review because she will be booked even further in advance now, but she provides great services and is a great person that I have to get the word out. I told her I wanted something bold and fun and just let her take over. I still of course was nervous by this and asked her tons of questions during the process (lol sorry for the annoyance, Yasmine!) but of course ended up loving the final result! I'm naturally dark hair so this was actually a two-step process to get me to this hot pink. The first step got me to a peach which was also very pretty but again, her artistic ability took over and she suggested a deeper touch-up and I'm glad she did! Ive loved every step of this color: from the first peach, to the hot pink, to the fading to a bubble gum pink, to now leftover bleach that just makes me look like I have blonde tips. This woman knows what she's doing and is a joy to be around. Book with her and you won't be disappointed!

The love and care she puts into perfecting the details of your hair treatment are unparalleled. I really feel her passion for the holistic approach and Inner Sense product line, and I have so much respect for the way she puts your hair's health first, for example, taking a few sessions rather than one bleach to the shade you ultimately want since that will leave your hair stronger and not fried. I never really understood hair-stylist-loyalty until I met Yasmine, but I will never trust anyone else again with my hair now! Haircut review I'm…read morereally picky about my hair, so my giving five stars is a huge deal. I'm so picky that I have had the same person cut my hair since I was in junior high. He's in socal and I would have waited to go back home, but my split ends were driving me crazy. Plus, it's a post-fling-breakup hair thing (I'm sure at least some of you ladies understand). I got a few haircuts from Lee in SF (at Jun's Beauty Salon). Although he wasn't terrible, I wasn't completely satisfied, either. So anyway, that's why I Yelped like crazy for someone to cut my hair up here in norcal. I came across Galin, so I decided to take the plunge and give her a try. First, I must rave about her patience. I made an appointment, canceled it due to a schedule change (I'm an extremely busy professional school student), then I got sick, then she squeezed me in last minute. She was extremely patient about it, which I completely appreciate! I went to my appointment and the first thing she did was greet me and offer me water. It's such a small gesture that speaks volumes about how she treats her clients. She assessed my hair before shampooing it. I never really know what I want for a haircut, which is why I find it difficult to get the "perfect" haircut (since I never know what that is). I explained to her that I don't want my face to look as round, and she worked her magic, and voila! She said that she didn't want to layer too much from the top because it'll make the top too round, which my old stylist back in LA did occasionally. That was something that I didn't like (although he did do a good job overall), but could never really find the words to describe! I think her talent isn't just in the way she cuts hair, but also lies in the fact that she can verbalize what you can't really describe. Even if I couldn't completely describe what I wanted or didn't want, she still managed to work through it with me! Her prices are also very reasonable. Look at one of the photos for all of her services! She is extremely pleasant, sweet, and professional...I would definitely recommend her!...unless you take my appointment slot, of course.
