Videography was never optional for us, but I have heard from so many people who chose to opt out of it in order to save money. Guess what? Every single one of them regret that decision. I'm here to tell you that if it comes down to hiring a videographer or saving money, forget saving that money. Do whatever you have to do, whether that's getting rid of something else in the budget or what, in order to be able to look back at the precious memories made on your wedding day because it will all be a blur. Chris Yeatts was amazing to work with. I ended up choosing him because he filmed my friend's wedding and I absolutely loved her highlight video. As soon as we booked the venue and set a date, I sent an email to Chris and thankfully he was available! Booking with him was no trouble and the entire process of working with him was a breeze. He has quite a few packages to choose from on his website that fit a variety of needs. We got the Creative package which includes a full video of the wedding day, 8 hours of videography, and a highlight video among other things. It was the best option for us and the price was a bit lower than other videographers that we priced out. On the day of, Chris met us at the Air Bnb that we rented to get ready and from then on I barely noticed him. That's how it should be! He was beyond professional, unobtrusive, and polite. Looking back on the video, it's amazing that he was able to do all of that by himself! It did take him longer than expected to give us our videos. We got the full length video about 5 weeks later and the highlight video about 3 months later. I believe we were supposed to have both within 6 weeks. Chris was very communicative throughout the editing process and let us know that he was running behind. What more can you ask from a vendor? Some people probably would have gotten a little anxious, but I know that you cannot rush the creative process if you want the best product. I trusted him and I'm glad that I did. My wife, Natalie, and I were clients of Chris' for our wedding back in June. It took us weeks to…read morefind a videographer that we wanted to hire for the wedding, but once we found his page, and watched some of his previous weddings, we knew we wanted to hire him. Planning prior to the event was seamless with Chris and super easy. We went with the Experience Package and added an Additional Videographer as well. One thing that I thought was really cool was that he uses a drone and captures video from above the venue. Working with Chris on the day of the wedding was very easy; Chris and his second videographer came in with a plan and they did incredible! He overcame some obstacles from our venue, but worked through them without it affecting any of the work. For example, there was an airport in the area and they told him that he wasn't able to use the drone, yet Chris did what he had to do and coordinated with who he had to coordinate with in order to get the clearance to fly the drone. When we got our video, we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY! And then a few days after that we got our highlight video, and honestly, we were not prepared for how amazing it would turn out. Everyone that has seen it has said it looks like a preview for a movie and how amazing it is! We would recommend Chris to anybody looking to get a beautiful day captured on video to be able to re-live the day forever. If I could give Chris a 12/10, I would. He traveled up with our photographer from Richmond to Alexandria, VA (not a quick or easy trip) for our engagement session in April to film part of our shoot (so kind of him!). We had coffee first, went over some wedding details, then went exploring for our engagement photos. We knew then we made the best choice for our wedding videographer. After hanging out for half the day, we were able to get to know Derek on a personal basis, and he wasn't just someone we worked with, but a friend. To me- the courthouse wasn't "fancy", so I was worried that since the building and the surrounding area wasn't architecturally appealing we wouldn't be able to get good shots. However, Vivian took care of that! She got there early and scoped out the location looking for favorable shot locations in and outside the building. Another detail I was pleased with was when she made sure to learn the names of our family members who where there taking photos with us.
