He would meet us half way to do our taxes on occasion when our daughter was an infant. Always a word of good advice and I'm sure he didn't charge me enough for his services. Charlie will be missed but Steve certainly "picked up the mantle." Steve is very approachable and is willing to listen to what you have to say. Don't let his mild laid back manner and occasional stocking feet fool you. He's on the ball and knows what he is doing. Steve even came to our house once to do the taxes; chip off the old block. Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.
