After having been to another neurologist who scared the bejeezus out of me by flat out telling me I had Multiple Sclerosis without the benefit of any testing whatsoever, I was desperate to find a neurologist and obtain help for myself. I had already been to the E.R. at a local hospital and was told I needed to see a neurologist immediately. The neurologist I was referred to had a 6 wk wait. In the meantime, I saw the scary neurologist who was of no help whatsoever. On a desperation call, I called Dr. Tobleman's office. I was sobbing pretty hard on the phone as I didn't seem to be making any headway with obtaining medical assistance. The kind person who answered the phone at Dr. Tobleman's office asked if I could please hold. When she returned to the phone she said Dr, Tobleman could work me in between appointments that very day. My husband drove me to Dr. Tobleman's office as I was in no condition to drive myself. When I first met Dr. Tobleman he said " please come in and sit down, take your shoes off, sit a spell". Okay, he didn't say the last bit but he did ask me to remove my shoes so he could test the reflexes in the soles of my feet. Dr. Tobleman proceeded to patiently listen to me and ease my fears as I was crying. Dr. Tobleman told me before we freaked out, let's do some testing and see what we are dealing with? Over a period of about 6 wks I had an MRI, a spinal tap and heavy metal testing. All of which were clear. Dr. Tobleman did prescribe one and only one medication for me and that was for my severe headaches. Dr. Tobleman told me he found nothing wrong with me and that he felt with time my symptoms would disappear. At the time I was working a very toxic job. Amazingly, after I was fired from my toxic job, my symptoms went away never to reappear. They don't make doctors like Dr. Tobleman anymore. The point of this long winded review is that this man has a caring and kind demeanor but he also goes the distance in investigating one's illness. If one is ill, it only crushes one's soul further to be not taken seriously by the medical community. This is just not the case with Dr. Tobleman. I would give this man 100 stars if possible.

I was armed with not one, but two MRIs from other doctors, ready to hear the dreaded "Let's schedule surgery" speech. Instead, I met with a genuine, down to earth, personable doctor that actually listened to all my complaints and I mean all of them lol. Not just "my back hurts," but also my entire medical history. Dr. Desaloms already has my MRIs up on a giant screen ready to review my issues. This office clearly invests in top-notch technology, and it shows. Love his PA Stephanie (extra bonus points for having her in his back pocket!). He's not the kind of neurosurgeon who pushes surgery just because he can. I may need it someday, but right now he's focused on what's best for me. That kind of organic, patient-first approach is rare. The entire staff at Dallas Neurosurgical and Spine, from the front desk, tech, PA to billing -- were exceptional people who obviously enjoy (and love) their jobs!

I highly recommend Dr. Dike and his team! Office Manager Shervonha: You are truly a servant leader whose presence resonates long before you speak! Thanks for constantly checking in on us and ensuring everyone was comfortable and updated on statuses while we waited in the clinic. Your presence is comforting. You're a phenomenal leader and the clinic is very blessed to have you! Thank you. My Mom had her new patient appointment on 12/4/25. I want to thank the Affinity Neurocare team for your excellence in care and the patience that was shown as my Mom visited the clinic today. Thank you all so much. From the first interaction with Alexis at the front check-in desk, we felt comfortable and appreciated as clients of Dr. Dike. Alexis is a sweetheart and she was very polite. She's a wonderful first introduction to your clinic! We then met Leah, who is in a league of her own. Leah is awesomeness wrapped in a human body!! Her spirit resonated throughout the clinic. She was sweet and very warm at every interaction with each person we saw her speak with today. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and professional. Her smile speaks volumes of how much she enjoys what she does. She spoke very highly of your clinic and your practice, as she should. You guys are amazing. Tommy was another sweetheart. He was very patient as my Mom took her cognitive test today. Unfortunately, Mama had bilateral cataract surgery within the past few weeks and is experiencing some visual issues (which we are praying will subside within the next few months); therefore, some of the test questions were a little difficult for her to see. Tommy was patient and waited for her to feel comfortable before moving to the next questions of the test. Thankfully, he read most of the questions to her. Please thank him for his patience. Dr. Dike took time and listened intently as I went over a plethora of information related to Mama's medical history and some of the alternatives that have proven effective for her. I'm grateful for his patience and his ability to make his patients feel at ease while interacting with him. He listened, asked questions, and took time to understand everything that was being said before attempting to provide next steps for treatment. he did not rush us, cut us off, or rush to leave the room. Being one who facilitates best practice courses for providers and other healthcare professionals, I know that this is not always the case. I found your practice online and prayed over whom we should seek for neuro support, and Dr. Dike did not disappoint! We need more providers like him. Please thank him for his excellence in care. We also met Derrick, who is AMAZING! Derrick is another very professional, very knowledgeable, and very patient young man. He ensured Mama and I were comfortable while administering the ordered tests. He explained everything thoroughly and made sure Mama knew what was expected while taking the tests. He's a phenomenal professional. Please thank him for us. It was a blessing finding Affinity Neurocare and I'm so grateful for the excellent patient service you all provide to our community. Thank you so much for everything you do and for making a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors. It was well worth the drive from Wylie to Frisco to meet you all and I'm grateful to have your gifted hands overseeing Mom's care now. GOD bless you and may you continue to bless others through your gifting.

When I asked for her professional opinion regarding my blood work, she told me that I "shouldn't be asking questions like that." When I continued to seek clarification, she responded with, "How would I know?"--which is shocking coming from a physician. She also repeatedly asked me questions I had already answered, making it clear she wasn't listening or trying to understand my concerns. When I told her that her responses were not helpful, she told me to "get lost." I have never been spoken to like that by a medical professional. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially toward a patient seeking care. I would not recommend her to anyone. If I could give a negative star rating, I would. The appointment was being transcribed using AI, and I sincerely hope that record is not altered to remove or soften the parts of the conversation where she was openly rude and dismissive. Patients deserve an accurate and honest record of how they are treated.

I immediately took the MRI orders and got the results back within a few days, as well as a copy of the CD before she was able to fit me in to her schedule for the EEG. She recommended waiting to go over the MRI results at the end of the EEG appointment. The morning of the EEG, the office called and said she had an emergency and canceled my appointment. They couldn't reschedule me for 3 more weeks! So, I requested a call to go over my MRI at least. We scheduled that for the following week. She was 3 hours late to our scheduled televisit (charged to insurance as an appointment)! And she told me the MRI could meaning nothing or something and that she'd have to look at the CD herself, so I need to bring it to my EEG. So, I paid for a pointless appointment. I finally get the EEG and Dr. Samuel never came into the room to see me and never looked at the MRI CD she asked me to bring. At checkout, I asked the front desk about it and she said the only thing she could do was schedule a televisit to go over the EEG results and I'd have to ask her about the MRI CD at that time. She couldn't schedule me for a televisit for 3 more weeks! So, a process that started in October is now going to the end of December and into the holidays with no answers. Then, she didn't show up for the televisit! I kept calling and after 4 hours, gave up because I had a school commitment for my son. That's when administrative person finally called back. In the middle of my son's performance... just to tell me the doctor wouldn't make it to the televisit and she'd call me back the next week. I told her not to bother with a call, but to just send me my EEG results so that I could take them to a new doctor because here we are two months into this and I have no answers and no direction. The doctor called me the following Monday despite my direction AND charged me and my insurance for an appointment! During that phone call she told me inaccurate information about my EEG, gave me no plan or protocol, and when I told her I didn't approve of the televisit and just wanted my results sent to me, she hung up on me! I had to report the incident to my insurance company. She never sent me the results from the EEG despite my phone call requests. My new neurologist was a completely different experience. They didn't even bother with getting her EEG results, because they don't even agree with the method she uses for EEGs, because it's temperamental and frequently inaccurate. Dr. Samuel uses a cap instead of direct nodes on the scalp. The new doctor immediately scheduled an indepth EEG with direct nodes, and within two weeks it was confirmed that I had epilepsy and they began medication and gave me education and a plan going forward. Not to mention, I feel better and am not having seizures anymore. Dr. Samuel told me it "looked like I was addicted to sedatives" based on the EEG her tech did (she never even came into the room during the EEG). I don't take sedatives and never have. It was horrifying. She wasted my time and my money, put my health in danger by delaying appointments and treatment, and charged my insurance for a lot of unnecessary appointments that yielded no results and had to be redone by another doctor.

She is a kind woman, a bit eccentric, I believe at the time I found her cartoonish but I think that was how her voice sounded through the migraines. Here's the thing, she seemed to care and she tried to help me. The biggest issue is that she would schedule our follow ups 2-3 months apart. Had she been willing to see me more frequently I could have wasted less time with her as she was not able to help me. She was the only specialist I saw that prescribed something that had some change in my symptoms but it wasn't fixing them, it was simply changing them and I was not able to improve my quality of life on it. In fact it had a strong physical effect on me that was not healthy. However, I would wait in her freezing room for 40-55 minutes past our appointment times for 15 minutes of consultations and instruction to come back in a very long time. It was disrespectful and she wasn't able to help me. She also insisted on another MRI and MRA even though I had given her the laundry list of testing I had done including 2 other MRIs that she had the results of. This however, seems to be a common practice among all neurologists but makes the patient feel like they aren't being listened to. What did end up being wrong with me was on the MRI but "that's not what neurologists look for." When I was in tears with her about medicines that were not working and that my symptoms were inhibiting my driving ability and I was scared but I had to get to work each day... she told me not to drive anymore... than suggested I drive to places across the state. In fact, it was basically up to me to diagnose myself and when I thought I was on to something and asked her for a referral she basically said that sounded great but she didn't know what to tell me. I was already discouraged and frightened when I started seeing her for my symptoms and I still felt that way when I decided to stop seeing her. I would recommend you consult heavily with your primary care physician before you see any neurologist and there are other ones here but I also recommend you get second and third opinions as this field commonly uses patients as guinea pigs and tell you that you may never know what is wrong with you. That aspect is more the fault of our country's medical care system than her fault. I am giving the second star because her bedside manner and concern were unfortunately a lot higher than 3 of the other specialists I saw. This may not seem like it now but this is a comparison review of the field and there are ones out there that are worse. Her staff was always cordial to me, never had a single complaint there. There are also other neurologists out of this office, I cannot speak to them. There is an MRI facility on site so you can schedule to get one done a lot quicker than at other places.
