The compressor didn't see much hot weather until summer 2017, when it died. The compressor was still under warranty, so I took it back to the shop. I made sure to verify that they would also replace the dryer and orifice tube and fully flush the system rather than just slap a new compressor on. Of, but of course! My old dryer was marked. When I picked my truck up, it still had all of the old parts, just a new compressor slapped on. When you don't replace the dryer and orifice tube and flush the system, you run a high risk of shards from the old compressor getting into the new one and destroying it. Sure enough, only a couple months of use and the A/C went out. The compressor wasn't coming on. I wasn't sure if it had a leak that had been missed or the compressor had died. I dropped by to get them to look at it. They insisted I would have to come back the next day. I understand shops are busy, but when you have already warrantied your work once (and you know you didn't fix it right) you could at least offer to take a quick look to determine the problem. I took it to another shop, and they determined it is the compressor. All in all, it was a terrible experience and I don't recommend them at all for A/C work.

Made small, silly mistakes on parts that were added/checked on the vehicle and when confronted, told me the part degraded in 1 month (the cam follower on the FSI GTI: virtually impossible). I was about 1 week away from a complete engine failure due to this "part they checked" and it is only a $20 part. I will not be going back ever again. Also charges $265 for brake fluid exchange that AT THE DEALERSHIP is only $95!
