I give Steph's Cute Critter Cuts a 5-Star review because every time I needed to get my Fur-babies nails trimmed, they came through in the clutch! Both the ladies I deal with are straight to the point and I appreciate that. The shop is clean and doesn't have that wet dog funk you usually find at mom and pop shops. The outside has ample parking shares with a few other businesses. I also noticed that they board (babysit) lots of small dogs and the owner has them trained to be good babies. (Although, I'm pretty sure they are good babies regardless.) The $8 price (each) was great for the trimming after just paying $20 rip-off at the Sanford Animal clinic. I especially love that they are open on Saturdays really early! Go and support this awesome local small business! read more

Booking the appointment was easy, they answered the phone promptly and got me in quickly. Very professional process, which I appreciate. When walking in, it smelled clean, and the staff was very nice and professional. Price point was for a bath/drummel and was very reasonable. They answered all my questions, and she was finished quickly. As someone who worked previously in a grooming facility, I know how long the grooming process should take including drying and was impressed on how quickly they finished and got my geriatric pooch out the door. They made me feel comfortable leaving my fur-daughter who is deaf with someone new, and I have setup monthly recurring grooming. His backside hair gets too thick so I had them take care of it. They listened to what I said and did exactly what I was looking for. He looks great and he was so happy when I picked him up. I was very disappointed with the service this last time. I have a 1 year old yorkie, last year I took him there he had long hair and they did an amazing job therefore when i was travelling overseas with him I hadn't any doubt that I was going back there. I called 2 weeks ahead to make sure the day I wanted was available and let them know i was travelling the following day. I send the picture I had used the year before when they had done such a good job and I was happy with the service. I trusted them to cone through and had no reservation in leaving my baby there. When my mother picked him up she was very upset to see him with his hair all messy and when I called my mom she told me right away she was not happy with the service. However they said to bring him back if needed more to be cut because i hadn't given instructions since I didn't know what I wanted. When my mom told me this l thought my mom was making a big deal out of it and I had an open mind. When I finally sae him i looked at him faraway and didnt think he was horrible but i thought something looked funny. Ok, so let me tell you his fur was greased dirty and smelled like he didn't have a bath. When looking closer I also noticed the 2 sides looked different for sure one thing I knew is that I didnt want my dog to have two different hair styles. His face was shaved between the eyes and nose. Not to mention they hardy cut on the top but shaved most of the body. Poor baby what a job they did on him. I waited a couple of hours hopping the cut would grow on me and his look became easy on my eyes. However after seing that the mistakes done were basic stuff i jusy couldn't look pass it. His smell and his hair all uneven was too much to swallow aftet paying over $40. After all i do a better job than the professionals so seemed. After restling with my counscious I had to call. First i asked if they had given him a bath she said yes because thats the first thing they do with yorkies before they do the cut because of the oil that have. Well i give him baths and he doesn't look the same way before I gave him a bath, he sure doesn't look dirty like he did. Then she said I told your mom to bring him back if you werent happy because i wasn't sure what I wanted. I told her I gave her a picture and she said but i couldn't see the body. I replied if you needed more direction you should have let me know you have my number you could have called me. Then she said you can come back tomorrow and I fix it. I had to remind her he was flying the next day and thete was no time. She offered for me to bring him right then. I don't know how you know when you are getting ready for a long stay out of the country and everything is planned and scheduled ahead of time bur you can imagine. I was out of the aread taking care of other business therefore me going there to fix anything wasn't happening. She kept trying to come up with a solution but nothing was going to work and honestly I sure I didnt want them to touch my baby since he came out of there jumpy and like he was traumatized. He is a very loving dog and he is scared of other dogs, he was put in a cage when I left my baby was crying and I was told don't worry he will be ok. I explained to her I was calling to let het know how disappointed I was and didnt want anything from her. The truth is I was the first person get there with an appointment done two weeks ahead. There was a lady after me with 3 dogs I'm not sure what she was having done bit I know there was only 1 person working when i got there at 8 and left at 8:15. I also can say i was rushed because of the other client. No wounder she felt like she didnt know whay i wanted. Needless to say since we were travelling the next day I had to give him a bath and even undet his chin that had uneven points. Now I'm overseas with a dog with his fur uneven and now I have to get it fixed by anothet groomer. So my conclussion is that they failed to be professionals because didn't work well but most of all they were not sensitive to my situation and needs. If I called and made an appointment ahead of time it was because it was important to have the job done when I needed to be done and done it efficiently. Disappointed client in many ways. I dont understand why my experience this time was so different from last year but it was. I will not go back there! I still dont want her to touch my baby for any reason. However my money back would be nice. read more

Have been grooming my long hair Chihuahua forever do a wonderful job and he loves being there. This is the first place I have taken him to that he was happy. When I take him in there he can't wait to get back there and be petted. I always want to take him somewhere that he's happy and there I could leave him forever and he'd be okay with that. read more
