After having the opportunity to keep my son home for his first year, we had to make the tough decision to pivot to daycare and this location came as a recommendation from friends whom have their sons enrolled. And I can confidently say that I only wish I would've done so sooner. My son LOVES it! He thrives getting to interact with the other kids and completes 2-3 activities a day with his teacher Ms. Rochelle which has been so good for him. Not to mention every morning she takes the time to make my son feel comfortable before dropoff so he can transition to the day in a positive way. He has developed a ton of new skills, including counting, sign language, and proper manners and I am so impressed at their ability to teach him. The teachers have been super informative and receptive and are so tentative to my son and his needs. They also get lots of outdoor time which is great for getting energy out and not being pent up inside. Principal Mrs. Devin runs a tight ship and is always involved in the students care and safety but also warm to staff. We love Ms. Trinity and Ms. Lydia who are great helpers to Mrs Devin as well. There's been multiple times where I have been emotional expressing my gratitude to the staff and explaining to others how fortunate we are to have him in such a great spot. My son has been at Stepping Stone Mueller since he was 6 weeks old and he is now 3.5 - it is truly his second home and he loves it! He talks about Ms. Devin, Ms. Trinity, and Ms. Aliyah at home all the time. When he was an baby he loved Ms. Julia and Ms. Nardis. He feels safe, has a ton of fun, and they really care about him. It feels so good to know that I'm dropping him off every day to a warm, welcoming environment filled with books, art, and laughter! read more

My son was in the infant room here for about 3 months while we waited for a spot to become available at our first choice daycare. I have to give so much credit to Ms. Bella for making his time there such a positive experience! I could tell she was truly invested in his care and development, and my son would practically leap out of my arms to see her every morning. While he did go through a few teachers during his time there, he was lucky to be with Ms. Bella for the majority of his attendance. Positives about the school in general--the daily reports provided through the Tadpoles app are very informative, and the staff was so great about sending pictures practically every day, which was such a delight. The space is very well organized, which makes drop-off and pick-up a breeze. I think my son's biggest challenge in the infant room was trying to take long enough naps. The babies are all on different schedules (which you'll see at every daycare for that age), and play + sleep happens in the same room, so it was hard for him to take sufficient naps with everything else going on. But, the whole team was always very committed to trying new things to help him be well rested. read more

I can't say enough great things about the Mueller location of Stepping Stone. We've been taking our daughter there since she was 6 months old and she just turned 2. In particular, I HAVE to give my highest compliments to the principal, Miss Devin, and our daughter's teachers along the way- Nardi, Jasmyn, Sadie, and Julie. They are exceptional and make our somewhat shy daughter feel safe and LOVED. To drop off an infant with someone is no small task for working parents, and they have delivered on not just safety, but education, health, inclusivity, and just overall being loving caretakers. I'm in awe of them. Whatever Miss Devin is doing to encourage tenure with teachers is working too- we see far less turnover now than when we began, and as a parent, that is a huge green flag. When daycares have massive turnover, it leaves an uneasy feeling. I want our daughter's teachers to be happy with their job and work environment. If any administrators are reading this, I hope you value the Mueller team and give them the pay, benefits, and praise they deserve for their exceptional work. Please do whatever it takes to keep them happy and fulfilled at their jobs. Please ask them what you can do to keep them happy and satisfied- and give that to them. Your reputation is everything and I have recommended Mueller to no fewer than a dozen couples I work with because of our experience. Happy teachers = a consistent profit for Stepping Stone. We love love love the care our LO received at Stepping Stone- Mueller! Ms. Devin is so caring and professional. She greets all the children by name as they enter every morning. Ms. Emily is the perfect complement to Devin's leadership for the school. Drop-offs can sometimes be hard for the littles (and parents!), and Ms. Devin and Ms. Emily are ready to assist parents with the drop-off transition on the more challenging days. The teachers are also kind and really enjoy helping the kiddos learn and grow. Ms. Julie, Ms. Aliyah, and Ms. Trinity are such good lead teachers in their respective classrooms. My LO was typically excited to go to school every day to see her teachers & friends. We really appreciate how the staff considers each child's development when deciding if they are ready to advance to the next class. It's not merely aged-based, which truly allows for each child to reach all of their development milestones in a natural way. What's great is that Stepping Stone found leaders who have a heart for children and are competent managers to keep all the administrative things running smoothly. It genuinely feels like a well-oiled machine, which is so comforting as a parent. We trust that our LO is in good hands when we drop her off at school. We feel so unbelievably lucky that Ms. Bella was the one to care for him during his first few months of daycare. When he first started, he struggled a bit with stranger danger and was apprehensive about being away from home. This is where Ms. Bella's magic really shone through. Her patience and understanding are unparalleled. She took the time to build a genuine, trusting relationship with my son. Before long, he was greeting her with a big smile and reaching out for a hug at drop off. We felt genuinely thrilled to be leaving him in her care. Ms. Bella brings an incredibly fun energy to her room. She has a rare talent for making play educational, even for the youngest infants. We seriously considered staying at Stepping Stone even after a spot opened up for our son in the other daycare, just so he could spend more time with her. Shout out to Ms. Devin, the director of this location, who made us feel extremely supported throughout our time at Stepping Stone. She seems to care deeply about both the kids and the teachers. 4 stars for this Stepping Stone location, which has a bit of teacher turnover and high ratios that can make things feel a little chaotic in the building at times. read more

We landed at this location of Stepping Stone by a friend's recommendation when I was trying to RTW and hadn't realized how challenging and far in advance some daycares require you to sign up. After a little bit of a rocky start in signing up - there was a leadership transition but Devin (the new Director) helped us get in ASAP - we had an amazing experience at this school. Each of the teachers was incredibly caring and attentive and we felt so fortunate to have had such a great experience. One teacher in particular was especially outstanding for us - Miss Bella! She was always attentive, cheerfully energetic, and all around the kind of human you feel 100% secure leaving your child safely in their hands. My 1 year old has been at this location for about 6 months. She recently got moved into a toddler room with Bella and Ari. Everyday she smiles and reaches out for them the second we walk into the room. The activities they do with her are great (and make the cutest photos, which are always being updated). These ladies clearly love their littles and I love that I can feel so comfortable leaving my baby in their care. Also, Devin, the Campus Principal, is doing a great job of running this location in general and is incredibly communicative. I feel so fortunate we found this beautiful daycare for my son Waylon. The director Devon runs a tight ship; she is super organized, very kind and greets every single baby by name with a huge smile every morning. Our daughter has attended Stepping Stone Muller for nearly 6 months now and we couldn't be happier. The staff in her two classes thus far have been beyond excellent. The entire staff is attentive, and caring and the curriculum for our daughters one year old class is well thought out and fun. As first time parents we were nervous about making a decision like this, but we really feel like we've made a great choice in Stepping Stone Muller. After 3 years our relationship with Stepping Stone as an entire organization deteriorated to the point that we pulled our boys out altogether. In summer of '22, the instability in our previous (northcross) location, which we attributed to the pandemic, and a change in office location for me meant that the time was right to move them to this location. They touted the same benefits (experienced staff with low turnover and low ratios) but the building was instantly more chaotic than our previous location. We missed the charm of the smaller location but did our best to adjust to a larger school and new teachers. When my oldest started in the class with the 3-year-olds we had some odd interactions with a young teacher who was overeager, at best, and inexperienced and overstepping of boundaries at worst, but she wasn't around for long and things settled in. Soon, a teacher from my 18-month-old's class was moved to the 3-year-olds' class due to a staffing shortage. She even mentioned that it was temporary and missed the little ones. Around the same time the class was combined with the oldest class, full of 4 (and I have to assume 5)-year-olds who were preparing for kindergarten.I quickly realized that his teacher was now the single teacher in a class of fifteen 3-5 year-olds. It was like the Lord of the Flies in there. Social circles, bullies, unruly kids waiting for the teacher to turn away to act out, etc. There was a child around my son's age in the class who began to act out. He would hurt the other children so they (my son included) started referring to him as "bad [his name]" which had me more worried about my son than that child at the time. A few weeks later "bad [his name]" was gone and I start getting reports about my son's behavior. The state requires incident reports whenever an injury occurs but these slips began to be used as behavioral write-ups for my child. I'm not excusing his behavior in any way, but he was generally acting out for attention in the ways that the previous class bad kid had. We would bring home 2-4 "incident reports" a day for things that previously wouldn't have resulted in a report. We weren't seeing the same behavior at home. After a couple weeks I got a mid-day call to say that his behavior was so bad he was a danger to the other kids and the teacher and to come pick him up for the afternoon. I was floored but I began to actively engage his teacher, the principal, and the vice principal in a plan. As I began to ask more questions I found out that the behavior was happening during transition times when the teacher's attention was otherwise engaged. I also began to listen to the way the other kids spoke about my son. He had become the bad kid. "[son's name] can't come to my birthday party because he's bad!" "[son's name] was bad again today!!" It struck me that my son wasn't getting the attention he needed (and that we paid a premium for) in this situation. I broached the topic with the principal and the assistant principal several times but it was clear that staffing wasn't in their control and that a 2nd teacher was not going to be hired for the class. Around the third time I was called to pick him up mid-day, they mentioned him being asked to leave permanently. Both during phone calls and in-person visits with the principal, via email, and during a phone call with the Education and Culture Superintendent from their main office who had been called in to observe my son's behavior, I asked for clarification on what constituted an "incident report" and how they determined when students were being asked to leave. I never received any sort of response in writing (red flag) and verbally, they would just say that the decision was made at the top of the organization and that we'd be given as much notice as possible. The principal suggested a rewards system, which seemed okay at first, but it was tied to the arbitrary evaluation of having a "good day" which was strongly predicated on not receiving any "incident reports". The superintendent suggested using a chore at home (or no screen time) as a punishment on the phone to me. (more red flags) Food as a reward and using housework as a punishment (especially for a boy!) was not a system I was about to adopt. I was informed on a Friday that there was a spot at a nearby location with more experienced teachers and smaller ratios and that he could start the next Monday. I had already found them spots at UT's Child Development Center but they had one month to go. I was told it wasn't a choice and had to have them in two separate locations for all of May until we left. We didn't receive a single incident report during that time but my trust in the organization was already eroded. My boys are both thriving at UTCDC with more support and lower tuition. I have no doubt that many people there love kids and do care but they aren't supported. Staffing is hard in this industry but this organization is hemorrhaging. read more

We've had our son at Stepping Stone Mueller for the past five months and it's been a great experience so far. It was definitely scary to put him into school for the first time, not knowing how he'd adjust but the administration and teachers were so patient and understanding with his transition and he has been thriving ever since. I know he's well taken care of and he gets so excited to get see his friends at school along with his teachers Ms. Bella and Ms. Ariana. They are so attentive, patient, loving, and plan educational engaging activities for the class. I really appreciate the pictures throughout the day and the fact that they get to spend time outdoors as much as they can. It warms my heart when he happily goes to Ms. Bella or Ms. Ari in the morning at drop-off and has a big smile at the end of the day at pickup. read more

She puts 100% effort and care towards all her kids and teachers. She is extremely kind and knowledgeable, not only as Principal- but as a fellow parent. As first time parents, she has often eased our worries while providing invaluable parenting advice- consistently taking the time to go above and beyond her role at Stepping Stone. It is clear she has a strategic vision for the school and her determination and hard work should be recognized. It's worth noting our son is a bit on the "adventurous" side, and Devin and her team continue to make the right decisions and adjustments to provide him with the best care. We absolutely love the team at Stepping Stone Mueller! They go above and beyond every time! I am a worrier and have lots of questions (lots!), but the principal, Lauren, always responds quickly and kindly. My child was in this school for almost 1.5 years. In that time there were 5 principals. There were new sets of "teachers" every few months. In fact, when we pulled her out of that school, there was no one still there from when she started. My child had food allergies where the school ignored and then lied about what they fed her. There were and still are good teachers there, but the turn over is so high. I've heard teachers screaming at kids, grab kids by the arms forcibly and they hardly filled out incident reports. My kid came home covered in fire ant bites, mosquito bites and heat rash. At one point, she always came home with a diaper rash, then I discovered they were wiping with dry wipes! The place smells like sewer and they have air freshener to cover it up. They are horrible about changing diapers. I picked her up on multiple occasions with a poopy diaper. I asked them to change her, and while watching would notice it the poop was dry and stuck to her. During Covid times, teachers wouldn't wear masks correctly , and some parents would refuse to wear masked while going into the school to pick up their kid. The fees for food is ridiculous. A few times they ran out of food and my kid was given only a pouch. Good thing we packed snacks and extra bottles. They never followed the menu so we were unsure if we needed to send extra food. We took snacks for the kids for a little celebration. My kid said she never got any of the cupcakes. They also kept requesting diapers when we knew they had them. They moved her from class to class multiple times a day, and she had diapers in at least 2 rooms. All of the principals were good and I saw some real progress under Kate. She left pretty quickly though. The principal after her, Jacque was not, in my opinion, that great. I heard threats to kids that if they didn't act right they would have to deal with Jacque. I'm not sure what kind of punishment they do, but my kid has PTSD especially when going into a room and having the door shut. When my child would not want to go to school and acted like she didn't like Jacque, we knew we needed to do something quick. She had been on a wait list for another school for almost a year. After started her at a new school, the differences between the two places were were eye opening. My child now runs to the front door and sometimes doesn't want to leave. It made me realize what an extremely horrible place it is at Stepping Stone at Mueller. I should also mention during our time there, they offered a chance to win a free month of tuition once a year for positive reviews across several websites. read more

My daughter spent three months in the infant room at Stepping Stone while we were on the waitlist at another daycare. It got the job done, but the excessive turnover (100% of caregivers and administrative staff in 3 months) created concerns about how the company treats its employees, which affects the quality of care. We had several caregivers who were wonderful and loved on our daughter, but they were not well-supported (often overwhelmed with a high child-to-caregiver ratio) and, I imagine, not well-paid. We used it as an interim solution, and the caregivers appear to do the same until they find a better opportunity, and I don't blame them! The problems seem to come down from corporate and create a toxic environment. read more

Do not take your kids here. They refuse to show camera footage of an incident regarding my child. It wasn't to protect another child, mine was misbehaving and I was trying to figure out why. (Full disclosure she was expelled for it) The turnover is outrageous. We went through 4 principals and countless teachers and subs we never even met. Please, find somewhere else. read more

We love this place :) Our daughter is one and has been at Stepping Stone for more than 6 months. There was some staff turnover the first month or two, but the new principal Darcy is amazing and the school runs smoothly. We are so grateful to her for being so good and caring so much. Miss Angel was an awesome infant teacher who our daughter adored, and her toddler teacher Daejha is absolutely amazing, as is co-teacher Christina. I wish Stepping Stone would invest more in their staff to prevent turnover. The facilities are excellent, but I'd take clean and mediocre it I didn't feel like every time I get an email it's about leadership changes. It is heartbreaking when good teachers leave or get shifted out to other rooms. It's also LOUD. If your kiddo has sensory issues, this place can be tough. The ratios are high and there's a ton of noise. The security is good, safety is good, and food is provided. read more

Absolutely ridiculous that this place is still running. Where do I even begin? This school is not what was promised. The turn over rate is EMBARRASSING. We've been there a little over a year and have seen employees and principals come and go so often (have had 4 different principals in the last year). All of which clearly thrown into the position with no knowledge or clarity of the company's promises or commitments to any family. No problems ever resolved, more of just hearing what you want to hear to shut you up. Very unprofessional. To drop my son off and see a teacher by herself with 20 other kids is disturbing and unsafe. She assured me the issue was being taken care of and yet still a few week later nothing has changed for us. I have purposely dropped my child off later into the morning just to see if this was just a early morning situation but unfortunately it is clearly an all day thing. This has to be illegal. (The youngest kid in his class is at least 2; oldest is at the most 5) I am hoping that this review catches someone's attention and prevents a family from being scammed as many families at this location are. I am very excited to be leaving this awful experience and take our family to a Montessori school. read more

2020 was a wild year for everyone. We had our first baby and were very nervous about starting daycare amidst such a challenging environment but had found ourselves in a very tough spot with work and not having family in town. Our son started at Stepping Stone in May at 16 weeks old and has flourished ever since. He's walking, saying his first words, is super social, very loving, and just a happy little dude. We honestly have had the best experience with his teachers/staff. He literally lights up coming to school every morning and I know they care deeply for his well being. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. I know it's been tough for everyone involved with new regulations in place and just life in general dealing with COVID (the teachers are people too and I have so much respect for them). They have truly gone above and beyond - especially when I hear stories from other families in different daycare systems and in different cities. Also, I work in communications for a living so was incredibly pleased that the staff OVER communicates the way they do with our family (which I 100% prefer!). We constantly get updates and they are always available to answer any questions we may have (which again, I work in comms, so I always have questions, ha). For what the past year has been, we have all the trust and confidence in the school which has been such a relief for us. read more

We started our son at this relatively new location over a year ago when he was 1. We've seen them go through some growing pains but since Crystal took over as principal things have been great and much more consistent. The building is beautiful with lots of natural light and has a large outdoor space. They taught my son sign language, how to eat with a fork and spoon, songs, and always have fun activities planned for his class. He enjoys going to school here. read more

This is a very rubbish school, not worth a star!!! My daughter only stayed at this school for 2 and a half months, but we still have a very painful memory of that experience. Last fall, when my daughter was 14 months, my husband and I both had to work so we had to send her to daycare. I contacted a lot of different schools but all had long waitlists. I finally found this one since they promised admission in late August. Considering that this daycare is a famous chain-school, and some reviews on the Internet are also good, after a tour, we decided to send our daughter to this daycare 2 days a week. First, I didn't receive any emails or phone calls from the principal regarding admissions until the Friday before admission. In the end, I took the initiative to ask her. Second, after enrollment, we experienced several times of miscalculation of tuition fees. While all seemed to remind me that this daycare would not be a good one, it was our fault that we had no other choice at the time. Then, from the first day of attending, our harrowing experience began. . . From the first day my daughter went to this school, although she only went to this school two days a week, she almost had some small injuries on her body every day. We asked for surveillance video many times, but the principal said that she did not have permission and they never offer reports to you if you didn't ask. What's worse, the teacher of the class my daughter was in at that time had hair disheveled every day and looked very tired since each morning. Although all babies in that class were less than 18 months old, the daycare has already started offering them screen time?: it's a big screen of about 50 inches, the children sit directly in front of the TV and watched it. Don't believe the ratio they promised you, because they accept drop-off students. More than once, we found the number of students that two teachers needed to take care of had exceeded 15 even over 20. It is normal for a child to be sick during the first month of daycare. But what we have observed in this daycare is even sick children can go to school as usual, which is completely irresponsible behavior that directly ignores the risk that other children will be infected. My daughter even developed the bad habit of tearing the skin of her fingers during that time... Later, when we changed her to another daycare, this habit disappeared. Due to my busy schedule, I haven't had time to write a review earlier. But this experience really made us very painful and self-blame. We were inexperienced as parents for the first time. Every time our daughter cried at the door of the classroom, we thought that she just didn't want to be separated from us. But when we thought about those later, it was really hard to imagine what she was going through every day at this daycare and how unhappy she was....It also explains why my daughter almost never smiled in the few pictures the teacher sent me... At that time, I also had a friend, whose daughter was in the class under 12 months. What I heard from her about this daycare was also very bad. Her child was just lying down every day, and the teacher didn't talk to the child very much. Therefore, the baby actually lag behind in all aspects of development as described by my friend. The turnover rate amongst teachers and admin is like nothing I've seen before. We've had our daughter at two of their locations. The first was in the infant room at Shoal Creek and she had at least 8 different lead teachers in there during her 9 months there. The UT/Mueller location was better in terms of lack of turnover from the lead teacher (whom we loved) but we still saw our fair share of changes in principal. It feels as though this "premiere school" is a glorified (and overpriced) daycare - complete with plenty of TV time for the older kids (every single day). I wish that Stepping Stone paid their teachers more and supported them more. I also wish they hired people who had a passion for early childhood development and education. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Stepping Stones Mueller! They have the BEST teachers ever! As a new parent I was very concerned about sending my 12 week-old little girl off to daycare, especially during COVID. The staff has gone above and beyond to care for my little girl and make my husband and I very comfortable with everything you worry about as a new parent. Their communication has been incredible during these unprecedented times and their attention to detail on keeping the kiddos safe has been so comforting (this coming from a nurse). Also, they just truly love on your child. My daughter lights up with a huge smile when she sees any of the teachers there (even with masks!). They send pictures to me while at work of all of the wonderful things she is doing developmentally. So, although I can't be around her during the work day, there is no where else I would rather her be than at Stepping Stones Mueller! read more

I decided to go with stepping stone because they opened really early and they seemed like they were really serious about academics and teaching the whole child. What I got instead was homework for two-year-old notes home about why you can't use a computer mouse and my child got pushed down in kicked by 3 other kids. And I was not let know what happened by stepping stone my child told me what happened and then the school backpedaled. They do not have a inclusive menu for people with any allergy other than peanuts. This location does not house words equipment or bikes which was really sad to my son because there was not a lot of Room for activities for him to play outside which is how he usually ended up getting her because the kids didn't have enough to do outside. Along with the fact that this location's ratios for students are not legal they've already received a fine for having too many kids in one route and not enough adults the staff turn over is horrible. This is the only location I've ever been to and I would not suggest them to anyone. read more
