My ortho told me we could try PT but due to the damage he couldn't guarantee it would prevent what he felt was an impending full knee replacement. The staff of CPTE got me in so quickly and worked incredibly hard with me. I started with Cameron in the pool and the occasional land appointment. He was patient with me and pretended to like my corny jokes. The pool was the perfect place to start while I got some stability and strength back. Liz, Danica, Kathryn and Tess worked with me on land appointments and gently increased the difficulty. They were great motivators and always held me accountable. On top of this, literally everyone is super nice. They're relatable and easy to talk with which makes each appointment more fun. I am moving cross country in a week or else I would go as long as my insurance would let me. The best part? My ortho doctor no longer thinks I need regular cortisone shots and has taken surgery off of the table for the time being. Please do yourself a favor and choose CPTE. A year and a half later I'm cancer free but I'm back for physical therapy on my prosthetic knee as it was casted for too long in extension and I can't bend it much. Joyce, the receptionist, ignored my request to update my insurance policy and insisted on continuing to charge the insurance policy I had cancelled even going so far as to call Medicaid to tell them I had another policy leaving me with loads of fees and distrust from my new insurance providers who I now have to fight with for months to have anything approved. Now they are sending me a bill in the mail for a copay on the two visits I'm already expected to pay back my cancelled insurance policy for. This whole experience has added a great deal of stress in an already incredibly difficult time in my life.

I booked my appointment weeks in advance just to find out a few days before that I am not allowed to come in. They informed me that without a vaccine or a negative PCR test I wasn't welcome. This would have been great to know ahead of time so I could have looked somewhere else to help me through my ruptured disk pain. The staff took the time to get to know her as a person, not just a resident, which meant the world to our family. The activities were another highlight--she looked forward to them, stayed engaged, and found so much joy in participating. It gave her purpose, routine, and happiness. I was sent to Bedford Hills Rehab Center after serious knee surgery for 6 weeks of Rehab, , This…read moreplace is terrible. I left after 6 days. During these 6 days, I received a total of 15 minutes of Rehab. Five minutes a day for 3 days. The food is terrible, Room service was totally inadequate. Several times I waited between 15 and 30 minutes for a person to show up and help me to the bathroom. The bulding I was placed in was on the floor with mostly mental patients who were often screaming and arguing with staff in the hall way. I would not recomend this place to any one. They rightfully deserve the one star rating they have.
