The staff are lazy, incompetent, sit on there bums all days and chit chat with co workers while leaving the residents wander the halls with "NO" supervision! Come on really? that's 5 star material? Desirae the DIR is never in the office, julie the Admitting DIR is also never in the office so my question is who am I supposed to talk to when I have questions when "NOON KNOWS NOTHING"! I means NOTHING! So there revamping the facility, Im looking at it "NOT FAST ENOUGH" it still looks awful. but the Urine smell is going away, but be prepared you will still smell it in the front door. The communication between the staff and the family literally is downright unforgivable, No communication and I'm wondering how mant pwople have you allowed to die or killed wiith in the last year. BUT WAIT, That's not all! NO NO If this business was so good and 5 STARish... Why did they loose the contract with the VA? Why.... because someone died and no one took responsibility for it. They decided to take his permanent caregiver and give her to new clients to make them seem like a great company. They know that sudden changes in caregivers causes major anxiety issues, but they could care less. When you ask them about the changes, they lie to you and tell you your loved one said they don't want them. I know my spouse and they would NEVER say this. Don't hire this company if you need consistency and qualified caregivers. They are more housekeepers than caregivers.

Our leadership team is hands down the best around! The CEO and DON are amazing leaders- they are always there for any of your needs. If you visit when fried chicken is on the menu, you might just hear some hooting and hollering- everyone loves Yolanda's friend chicken! Our dietary staff puts their hearts into their cooking and enjoy seeing our elders have their favorite meals! It is never a dull moment at SHC- Senior proms, Olympics, and Super Bowls! Our activities team works hard and making it a fun and enjoyable atmosphere! I couldn't imagine working in any other nursing facility. We are always changing and finding different ways to improve. The Community Health Clinic is run by volunteers and donations only. So resources are limited and…read morelong waits should be expected. Qualifications are you have to be a resident of Hardin or Larue County, do not have insurance or Social Security and do not qualify for Medicare/Medicaid. You must have or had employment within the last 6 months and meet the minimum financial requirements. The doctors who volunteer their time come after their own practice closes and see about 30 patients before he/she has to go to the hospital or nursing home to visit their patients there and then get to go home. Majority of prescriptions are free with the Patient Assistant Program or KTAP others are on the $4 list, They do NOT have narcotics or prescribe them. Lab work is also free either there at the clinic or at the Hardin Memorial. X-rays, MRI, CT-Scans and other services done at the hospital can be done through the DSH program there. They take care of your run of the mill office visits like cold and flu as well as specialties like Diabetes, Pulmonary diseases, High Blood Pressure and Arthritis. They do not do pediatrics or OB-GYN. You are not assigned any particular doctor, you most likely will have a different doctor each time you go. I am very grateful for this clinic. I would not be alive today without them as well as many others I would imagine.
