We contacted Country Ways and they responded within the hour to get us on the schedule. Two days later Patrick arrived to assess the situation. After working on it for a bit, he quickly realized it was more complex than he initially thought so he contacted Matt (the owner) to get his expert opinion before progressing forward. Matt quickly arrived and the project was completed within about an hour. Both gentleman were polite, willing to answer any/all questions (and for a new homeowner - there were a lot!), and made us feel confident the problem was resolved. They also left the work area spotless. We highly recommend Country Ways Plumbing and they've definitely gained new customers for any future plumbing or heating needs. Very glad we disregarded the 1 star review - it couldn't have been farther from the truth.

I called Mike late afternoon, the day before thanksgiving. Not only did he return my call, he was at my house at 6pm. The problem turned out to be a broken PVC pipe outside the house. Mike dug up the pipe and made the repairs, (in the dark); he also replaced the laundry trap I had broken during the day. Called Lambert's Plumbing & Heating for a service after my HVAC heat failed during the night. They…read moreanswered the phone early, scheduled an afternoon appointment and arrived on-time. The system needed replacing so we scheduled an 8AM start the next day for a complete new system installation. I was offered space heaters for my home, which was a very nice gesture. Because of the age of my system, I already had an idea of the replacement cost. Lambert's quote was well within the ballpark. No matter who you are, writing a big check can be stressful. Lambert's allowed me to purchase the heating component on the day of install and wait until spring to proceed with replacing and paying for the central air component. The technicians arrived on-time and were both professional and personable. The job's director, Sal, is a credit to the profession and the owner, Scott Lambert, came mid-day to address any questions or concerns I had, of which there were none. Everyone took great care with my home as if it were a million dollar property! Included in the job was a hardwired with battery backup carbon monoxide detector installed by the unit. I really like the new digital thermostat provided and large box of air filters...every little bit counts! If you are like me and do not have time to call 3 different vendors and price shop over what may amount to be a few hundred dollars difference between them, have comfort in calling Lambert's Plumbing and Heating 1st. They are always good and fair with their pricing and as always are happy to entertain my questions (like me asking where our water shutoff valve is and them showing me where it was.)

I've had my ups & downs with plumbers over the years, and was feeling relatively secure I had…read moresomeone to call on as necessary but now my former plumber won't drive the 40 miles from his house to mine any more without a signficant surcharge (really? it's only 40 miles) and a wait of more than a few days to arrive. Without a super-solid review I could latch on to, I was hesitant to work with someone new, but I needed to fix a couple of leaky toilets. I called Mayflower Plumbing at 9:00am, explained the problem to Donny, and said I had only a small window of opportunity to get the work done, so he suggested that he come by and look things over the same day -shocker #1! And he was exactly on time, accurately updating me with his ETA as the appointment time drew close, and arriving exactly on time as promised- shocker #2! These guys are great! Polite,calm and courteous, Donny arrived and introduced himself, looked things over and immediately made me feel significantly less stressed . He explained how he was going to figure things out and introduced his brother Paul, equally courteous and professional. They got to work, organized and explaining things to me along the way. They began to diagnose the problems with two toilets, and as Donny said "we won't fix what isn't broken" so I felt that the leak would be fixed and realtively confident that I wouldn't be paying for work that wasn't necessary. Turned out to be a very minor problem (woo hoo) easily (and less expensively) fixed without a major overhaul. Turned out they left my toilets fixed as well as cleaner than when they arrived! They worked neatly, and in less than 90 minutes had fixed everything, picked up every last bit of trash, installed new toilet seats, dropped the trash in my garage as I asked them to, and even replaced the little zen garden I keep on the tank of one toilet that I had removed before they arrived. Plus - they came in well under $200 (shocker #3) for the whole deal which made me very, very happy. They back up their work, they're professional and experienced and didn't 'fix anything that wasn't broken" as Donny promised! Now that I found a new plumber, I'm already planning the next project without stress!

And even though it was passed that deadline he still didn't charge me for the second visit. Finally I replaced my toilet altogether and Jack's guys were 1 hour late, but within the zone of tolerance, and Jack told me that on the phone that mkrnjng The best part is, he picks up his cell phone every time and gives you good guidance on when the guys will be there. Some plumbers I've encountered in South Boston don't answer texts or voice mails. It is good to see someone who cares enough about his business to answer the phone when it rings! Pricing was reasonable, too. In line with what I would have expected. UPDATE Last month my shower head stopped putting out water. I don't know much about this, but it seemed like the water was going somewhere which worried me. It was late in the day but Jack had one of his guys out the next morning, first thing. It turned out to be a more complicated job but another guy was in the area and came to help finish the job.
