After our wedding, Erik sent us a temporary Google link with the wedding video -- a temporary link that expires. He never told us we have a time limit to download it. We had no idea. A few years later we tried to download it, but the link was expired. I contacted Erik frantically, and he said sorry it's erased, and that he very likely does not have it saved anywhere. I was devastated. My wedding video was gone. In my desperation, I offered him "$500" to find it. He said okay. And the next day he found it, of course. Anyway, he held me hostage to that $500. After the thousands of dollars spent on my wedding video already, he told me that I must pay him the "$500 cost" to receive my own wedding video again. I literally couldn't believe it, and our party planner that introduced him to us couldn't believe it either. He also made a funny, fake invoice outlining a number of costs that amount to exactly the $500 I mentioned. For him to send me my own wedding video. To be fair, he also sent me a physical hard drive with the video. So I'm sure that costed some money. Anyway, I was very grossed out by this ordeal -- and shocked at how low someone can be.

What a disappointment! For years I've recommended Paul Gregory after great experiences in the past…read more I was so excited to finally be able to afford to go back to him for new headshots. I was having 3 looks done for $745. The session lasted for 4 hours where I felt trapped and unconscious. Not just the weird poses but also the non interest in me. There was no guidance except for "don't do that, it's ugly". I couldn't wait to get out of there. Still had hopes for the pictures though having had such great ones in the past. When I got the pictures the disappointment was complete. There wasn't a single picture I could use. The lighting was flat or too dark ( he calls it dramatic). The makeup was so uneven. In some photos I had a weird green tint to my face. I look heavier than I am in many of the pictures. And I looked how I had felt, uncomfortable. The best picture was on par with his worst last time. I did contact Paul to get my money refunded after I can't use any of the pictures. He got back to me pretty much telling me I was wrong and that he could do a reshoot. I let him know I don't feel comfortable doing that. No answer. I feel a reshoot would be absolutely useless. It would be like going back to a restaurant you got food poisoning at.

I brought a friend along and I can't thank the two of them enough! I always feel awkward taking headshots and Paul was very patient with me and made me feel extremely comfortable. The turnaround for photos is very fast. He sent me two links (one for my whole session and another with his faves) within 3 days. He also retouched two photos with the links he sent and I was absolutely blown away by the best headshot of myself that I've ever seen in my life. It took me two days and about 10 opinions to try to narrow down my photos to the top 5 I wanted to get retouched because there were about 60 shots I couldn't pick from. Our shoot was on Wednesday, 6/8/2022 and he sent me all the edited photos in under 24 hours by midnight. Did I stay up past midnight to wait for it?? Absolutely. Did I stare at it for another few hours till 3AM on a weekday? Of course. Jesse is the utmost professional and arrived on time on Wednesday at 4pm. He didn't rush us - he knew how to move us from one spot to the next in a timely manner and made us feel relaxed and most importantly, comfortable! I had a little bit of jitters that day since I am typically shy in front of a camera but after he made us laugh a lot in between shots, soon my body and face began to relax too. He will explain his vision of what looks good in the background or the way the light hits. He speaks with so much enthusiasm and confidence that all of a sudden you'll get really excited to stand where he tells you to stand or the poses of how you look. He'll show some photos of how good you look through the process and really boosts your self esteem and confidence! Need words of affirmation? You'll get plenty of that with him.
