Roland Cornejo- RE/MAX North - San Antonio

Roland Cornejo- RE/MAX North - San Antonio

I wanted to voice my extreme dissatisfaction with the sale of my property in San Antonio, Texas …read more The realtor was Roland Cornejo. Promises made, promises NOT KEPT. We were in a situation that we explained to Roland clearly, from the beginning. Our house needed repairs, we had some to invest, but not a lot. We were also interested in a quick sale. He assured us that this would be so simple and easy. First, he has a contractor that he works with a lot and he can take care of all of the repairs for a fair price and within 6 weeks. Second, once repaired, our house would sell within two weeks. And if it didn't, he'd get feedback and we'd make and adjustment and it would fly off the market. NONE of this happened. Where do I start? For brevity, I'll hit on the highlights. Roland took hardly any time to explain anything to us. I understand that this was just one of 30-something houses he had on the market, and I'm sure it wasn't one of his biggest commissions, but he could have explained things better. He never really took the time with us to look at a price, just gave us a list of 8 comparables in our neighborhood and then pretty much said let me know, anything in this range will sell fast, two weeks. That didn't happy and 50-something showings later we had 2 offers that weren't even in the ball park. Let's just say, I feel like he did VERY little for his 3%. No open houses (which is fine), a brief 30 min (maybe) with us when we were discussing listing price. Left in the dark again. After all of those showings, he never got feedback from the realtors, to his defense, he was on vacation, but it was a crappy situation for us, seeing all of these showings and having no clue about what was happening. Once again, we were in the dark. When I asked his office people if they were soliciting feedback they said they had contacted no one, not one (except for the auto-request email from their viewing scheduling services CSS, which all the realtors ignore). I called, I got feedback, it was informative. It would have been nice to have someone from his office garner that for me, instead of me having to look the showings up, then look up the agents contact info and reach out. His chosen contractor, one who he assured me he trusted, attempted to STEAL a leaf blower from my garage the FIRST day on the job. Roland put us in a precarious position because at the beginning he assured us with his word that these guys would do a great job. The contractor asked for $1,500 up front, every week. We thought this was crazy and would have never agreed to terms like that, but we consulted with Roland and he said not to worry. The contractor assured us that this would help him get through the job faster. Well that turned out to be a huge hassle because as soon as they started they messed up big time, but they already had $1,500 of our money. Literally every week we thought, this will get better let's just keep moving forward. But it didn't. Delays and mistakes were met with, "meh". To my knowledge, they didn't steal anything else. However the work performed was TERRIBLE, SLOW and downright confusing at times. For example, they "forgot" to paint an entire side of the house. (Supposedly, they ran out of paint and then forgot to come back) To fit a new vanity in a restroom, they didn't cut out the back, they literally bludgeoned something (their foot, a hammer, a fist) to fit the piping through the back. I had to literally beg them to fix these things & MANY MORE. What's worse is Roland assured us he would manage the entire repair process, I think he came by the house 0 times over the 9 weeks it was being repaired. This is a long-winded way of saying, he set expectations of full service, of being there for any questions or concerns we had and a quick, hassle-free sale. It was ANYTHING BUT.

My husband and I were in town for a limited time over a holiday weekend. We had a list of…read moreproperties we wanted to see and were prepared to spend a day looking. My husband contacted a friend of his who is a realtor and asked if he could show us places and the friend said he would try to clear a day for us but was planning to be out of town. We called another realtor and she only wanted to show us property if we had a pre approved letter. She basically told us to call her back when we had it. We knew it was a matter of days until we received it but we had limited vacation time. I asked my husband of there were any other realtors he could give me to call, he gave me one more and o called and left a detailed message. Fiona called us back and said she would try to get all 10 properties we requested and call us back the following day. She came through with 7 out of 10 we viewed homes which helped us narrow our list to top 3. We returned to our home state and seven days later , we had a pre approval letter and made an offer on our dream home! If it hadn't been for Fiona, we would still be struggling to find cooperative, competent and friendly assistance. Thank you Fiona! We are now close to our family and can help take care of them during their golden years while enjoying our dream home! If you are looking for a realtor, look no further! Fiona is a dream to work with! Knowledgeable, helpful and attentive!

DO NOT waste your time with this so called agent or her office. They are just above the word scam…read more My story is too long to write but I can say the best part of leasing from her was the day we moved. 1 hell of a miserable year! Let our mistake be your opportunity to be rescued. Good luck.

I initially wrote a 5 star review for Roberta Anton and Remax when I first moved in May 2016…read more Because of my excellent credit, I had an initial great experience and move in was easy until I gave notice March 2019 that I would be relocating and moving May 2019. After I gave my move out notice, I felt like I was being harassed about the owner driving by and requesting a tree to be replaced and disappointment with the yard. She sent me a follow up text about tree replacement, but due to the weather the tree began to bloom (I sent her pics). From that point she still continued to send text messages that the owner was driving by and not happy with the property or the yard. The yard has been properly maintained the same since I have been in the house. I never had complaints or problems May 2016 -Feb 2019; it was only "after" I gave my move-out notice did the owner start "suddenly" driving by the house and start disapproving. I also felt retaliated against when Roberta asked me to physically put up a Remax sign in the yard and make my house available for viewing. At one point she sent a demeaning text stating she did not have to give ample notice to me before showing my home (as a show of force to make my house available). She knew my job required I travel, but was insensitive and resistant to work with me during this transition. This really caused a lot of undue stress on me. I saved all the demeaning and hostile text messages and don't mind sharing. Maybe she is just not aware of her bullying/ hostile text communication style. As I prepared to move out, Roberta recommended a carpet cleaning vendor, and after I used the vendor, the carpet still looked horrible if not worse when they finished. I have attached photos of the vendor Roberta/ Remax recommended (in the first picture, this is what the carpet looked like when the vendor finished; it appears nothing was done). I expressed my disappointment to the vendor and to Roberta about the recommended vendor. A week later, I had the carpet shampooed using a different method and I was pleased with those results (as seen in second pic below). I am being told the carpet is still not clean in the after photo and another vendor was recommended by Roberta. The experiences I have had with Roberta since giving my notice, leads me to believe there are bad business practices with her and or Remax. I have read enough poor reviews on this site to escalate a written complaint since my incident does not seen to be isolated. The house has been cleaned and ready for move out, but I am being told it has not been cleaned, which is also a personal insult (I have videos the house cleaned). This appears to be a conspiracy to not return my security deposit, but it's not okay. Roberta's text communication is very "unprofessional, intimidating and unfriendly" especially when attempting to assess liabilities on occupants. I was even text assaulted on Sunday while in church until I demanded she stop with the Sunday text messages. I noticed the extreme change in her behavior when she was attempting to rent to me compared to her move-out communication which became hostile and aggressive. I was very disappointed that my experience with Remax was marred at the end based on my move-out experience with someone that lacks customer service and tactful communication skills. Beware of this sinister behavior as a future occupant working with this person. I have been told that there are movers ready to move in June 4th after seeing the place I occupied, but I'm also being told it is not clean? There are agencies that regulate this type of activity and I do plan to expose it. I hope this review can help customers that find themselves in a similar situation. The experience should be good from start to finish, not just one or the other.
