I then went to my bank and found out it was an actual charge. Now Sheetz is telling me that it was for diesel (my car takes flex fuel) and it was at another pump at the same time I was pumping my gas. Now I have to wait for them to review the cameras and they don't know when they will get around to it. Meanwhile, they have had my 150.00 for 3 weeks now.

I contacted my bank and was told it was actually taken from my account. I called Sheetz corporate office again on 5/14, (after going back to the store and once again being told it was a preauthorization), and I was told that it was an actual purchase on another pump at the same time I was pumping my gas. I was told the 150.00 charge was for diesel fuel. My truck takes flex. I find it convenient that the charge is for exactly 150.00, which is the amount of their preauthorization fee. Sheetz still has not refunded my money. I was told now they will need to review the cameras. Meanwhile, they have had my money for nearly 3 weeks. In a sense, I paid 214.00 for a tank of gas. I know gas is high right now, but this is ridiculous!

But outside of that, it's no different than most gas stations. It does have these Vending machines to go, where you can charge a drink directly at the pump which is neat. Don't even have to go in for the drink itself. When I went the last two weeks (12/17?2010), 20oz mtn dews were buy 2 get 1 free, which came out to about $3.21. That's not a bad deal for those long road trips if you need a caffeine spike.

They offer ice cold "gas-vend-go" sodas at each pump. As this is a busy location, they occasionally have trouble with the receipts. The store itself is a decent size, not super tiny, but not incredibly expansive. They offer Krispy Kreme donuts, sandwiches and nachos, icees, and really good coffee that has always fresh in my experience. You can add cherry or vanilla syrups to your fountain drinks. Plenty of sodas and beer. Candy is often on special. You'll also find a variety of toiletries for emergency situations. I don't believe there are public restrooms but there is a cash points ATM on site.
