I cancelled in January in person and then through email because they couldn't find the document. Now Safeco has sent me to collections for $514 on a $62 charge because they say they need a copy of my new declaration page with my new insurance company in order to back date my cancellation in January. When I called the insurance center to complain, they want to play the "It's not us, it's them" game and wash their hands. I feel if you're going to sell their products make sure to explain this piece of information to your customers. Is this even legal?
