He guaranteed his work and if any problems were to arise he would address them promptly. My system started having major problems in October of this year. I made dozens of calls to his company and never received a response. The equipment that he installed had a one year warranty. That warranty has run out now because he did not not respond to my my calls. The water system pump is breaking down, and since Troy Rice was the installer, London Pump Supply whom supplied Mr. Rice with supplies, would not come to my home to repair it. That was supposed to be up to Troy Rice. I have a hobby farm with animals that cannot go without water for the time it would take for the pump supplier to repair it as I would have to disconnect it and take it to their location to be repaired. I am extremely disappointed with T Rice Heating and Plumbing, and as far as I'm concerned, I wasted $8,500. I had another company, WRC Purifying come out and install additional water cleansing equipment at the cost of $2,000. My water is fine now that they installed a peroxide tank. Rice Plumbing did not install the nproper equipment. It is , however, their responsibility to honour their promise to repair and/or replace equipment that they installed. I was somewhat apprehensive when I called Donaldson's figuring they might be too busy to even answer my call. But to my delight they received my call immediately and sent out a service person within an hour! The young lady that came to repair the furnace was very polite and knowledgable. She was in and out within half an hour with the furnace up and running, as good as new. Thanks to Donaldson's fast and reliable service we did'nt have to spend the night huddling around the kitchen stove.We're so glad we found Donaldson's when we purchased our furnace 4 years ago.

The faucet of Jacuzzi was dripping warm water and badly and we had to turn off hot water to stop the fast, noisy dripping. The hot water handle would not go back on by us. The person Donaldson sent was clearly lost and out of his element. My husband found him looking up plumbing images on his smart phone more than once. My husband asked his background - he said he was a Western University Grad , husband asked him how long he s been doing this work. He said 2 months. Worth repeating - he called his supervisor who brought him more tools but again this supervisor DID NOT come in to our house to assess the situation. Poor service .

He claimed he purchased $600 worth of piping, but I now believe he was lying because he only provided handwritten prices on paper with no proper receipts. I told him the work needed to be tested and approved by the inspector before we would pay any remaining balance. Unfortunately, the grease trap was installed backwards and the fittings were incorrect. When I contacted him about the issues, he stopped answering completely. Beware -- do NOT hire this man. The inspector even stated that the job looked like it was done by a handyman, not a licensed plumber. We will be taking legal action.

He was here in no time, and said my faucet was worn out and needed replacing. He went off and bought the required new faucet for tub and shower (two pieces) showed me the bill and then replaced them. My bathroom sink faucet was stiff, so he loosened it up and told me I would soon need a new one but it would work for a while yet. He only charged one hundred dollars plus the cost of the fixtures. He works out of his home and has low overhead with no employees but himself, so can afford senior discounts! Certainly deserved a five star review.

If I had known the state that the house would be in for weeks on end then I would have found a temporary residence and left them to it. The rewiring requires decisions to be made every day, and sometimes items to be purchased, so you have to be available during the day to take their call. The cost was very high, but we were charged in accordance with the estimate. The only extras were items that we chose to add on as the work was being done. Customers should carefully weigh the options that are presented at the initial assessment. There are items that I wished that we would have done and during a whole-house rewiring is the time to do it.

The phone was picked up and I was greeted by a friendly female voice that said "It's a wonderful day at Finan Home Services. How can I make you smile today?" with a real emphasis on "you". It made me smile. I told the lady my problem - a broken light switch - and she informed me that she'd send her guys out to look at it. They price PER JOB and not by the hour, which is really nice. The lady told me the guys would arrive (giving me their names, which I forget at the moment - one was Jeff) between 8-8:30 this morning. She said normally they have a 2 hour window, but this is the very first appointment. Excellent. Today the guys arrived at my house earlier than expected - arriving at 7:50am. They had the job done (both light switches - as it was a dual switch - replaced) within 10 minutes. The gentlemen greeting me with a bright smile, where highly cheerful, and very clean. The one who installed the lights had paper covers on his boots to protect my floor from the outside dirt, which was really nice. Jeff, the other gentleman who handled the financial transaction at this appointment, did not have the covers so he remained on the enclosed porch while we handled payment for the job. He thanked me and they wished me a great day, and they were gone. We also got a $25 discount since we had used them before, which was really nice. Before they left, he offered a book (which I got the time before) that explained the various services they do - contracting, plumbing, electrical, heating, etc. They came recommended to us by Roy Inch, who we use for our furnace, and I've not been disappointed. I highly recommend these people. :)
