I'm confused when I read the other reviews about Dr. Kmucha. They sound like they're talking about a completely different doctor than the one I saw. I first went to see Dr. Kmucha for a small problem. During my visit, I found out he had spent several hours the night before reading all my health records. Doing that helped him solve the biggest health problem in my life - a migraine (a headache so bad I couldn't tolerate normal amounts of light and always felt like I was going to puke) that never stopped. Many other doctors couldn't fix this problem, even though I went to them specifically for help with my migraine. I have a lot of very complicated health problems. One doctor told me that talking to me about all my health issues was like taking their entire medical exam with just one patient. Other doctors left me to figure what was causing my migraine on my own, but Dr. Kmucha was the first to take the time to understand what was going on. When Dr. Kmucha introduced himself and told me about his training, he wasn't showing off. Because he has special training in two fields, he could see my problem in ways other doctors couldn't. This information helped me understand how he would look at my case. Dr. Kmucha saved my life - I really mean that. That migraine I mentioned earlier? It never went away - 24 hours a day, every single day, for 2 1/2 years. The pain was so bad that one night, while working in a completely dark room with a fully dimmed screen and wearing sunglasses, I didn't even notice I was crying until my husband pointed it out. Before seeing Dr. Kmucha, I had gone to dozens of doctors about this constant migraine during that 2 1/2 years. I told each doctor the exact same symptoms. Instead of being curious about my problem, they just nodded and acted like they cared, but then blew me off without really helping. Each visit just delayed me from getting real help even longer. Since these doctors couldn't understand my symptoms right away, they decided I was either lying or making it up. Dr. Kmucha figured out what might be wrong before I even met him: I had something called a rhinogenic headache. What's that? After I moved to a farming area, my deviated septum (crooked cartilage in my nose) had swollen up and was pressing on a nerve that goes straight to my brain. While other doctors thought I was unstable or seeking drugs, Dr. Kmucha was thorough and paid attention to details. He gave me accurate information so I could make a good choice about my treatment. I chose to have surgery, which completely fixed my problem. I haven't had any pain from this issue for over six years now. Many doctors dismiss complicated health problems as being "all in the patient's head," but Dr. Kmucha took the time to really investigate. The hours he spent learning about my health history gave him the information he needed to actually fix my problem. He didn't just kick the can down the road like all the other doctors. I live in a rural farming area, so I have to travel far to see specialists, but any distance to see Dr. Kmucha is worth it because of his skill at solving complex health problems. Do I recommend Dr. Kmucha? Yes, absolutely. If I ever need help from an ear, nose, and throat doctor again, he will be my only choice. read more

I recently was treated by Dr. Kmucha for an ear issue. After reading some of these negative Yelp reviews, I was expecting an entitled monster of a doctor! He's not that at all. He listened well and explained things thoroughly. He arranged a call to review the results of a hearing test, so that I wouldn't have drive all the way to his office to discuss. Not sure what all the fuss is about. He was one of the better specialists I've seen. read more

I recently utilized the medical services of Dr. Kmucha for an ear issue. I found his care to be excellent and I found him personally to be knowledgeable and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the expert care he showed me, regarding my ear issue. I will not hesitate to utilize his services again in the future. Found this office through my insurance and this guy is a disaster. Everything that was described in the bad reviews is accurate and reflected my experience. I found them through my insurance but they still are billing me the difference between the amount of my copay and what the insurance covers. I understand that rates are rates and people need to be paid but it's still a scumbag move. Just don't take insurance and I'll go somewhere else. read more

He didn't even examine me. All he did was lecture me, ask condescending questions (after I told him I've experienced symptoms for 25 years, he asked, "Have you ever tried taking any preventative action?"), and make unhelpful responses (when I said I felt like I had a river running down the back of my throat, he said, "Everyone has SOME postnasal drip"). And, as I said, he didn't even examine me to see how much mucus was running down my throat. Total waste of time. read more

Dr. Kmucha is the worst physician I have ever worked with. He is abrasive, arrogant, full of himself. He opened the meeting with an insult to the previous physician and hearing aid professions. He boasts his board certifications and qualifications 4 times in the first three minutes of the visit. He was not interested to know my concerns, he interrupts, he raises his voice to insult me and reminds me that he is more qualified with ENT subjects. After three of his interruptions, I walked out. I am sure there are many more qualified and good physicians I can rely on. No matter how qualified he is, he cannot be trusted to treat patients. read more

I will never refer anyone to this doctor. I am a healthcare professional myself and I came to him seeking for patient care. The moment he knew I had medical knowledge he immediately crossed his arms, leaned back in his chair, and asked me what I think was happening to me. Shouldn't he be the one to give me a diagnosis? Are doctors supposed to encourage patients to diagnose themselves? He acted like he was all superior and I was dumb. He is VERY condescending and VERY rude. I went to him to get PROFESSIONAL help which I did not get. He never asked me questions. He actually told me what I am doing wrong. WOW. How did he know? Is he a mind reader? After this awful interaction, I asked him if he can be more compassionate and caring. He said he did not practice medicine to give compassion. What a HORRIBLE thing to say to a patient and to another healthcare provider. He then rambled on his 30+ years of experience in medicine. He did not seem like someone with experience treating humans. Who cares where you went to school and where you practiced. It does not matter if you have extensive knowledge about your specialty. If you do not even know how to treat a patient with respect, no one will stay with you. I'll be surprised if he has a list of long-term patients. He seems to jump from one business to another...which I am not surprised anymore after one interaction with him. What a waste of money and time. Dr. Kmucha is the best doctor I ever had and I wish he didn't move to Stockton. Actually, the only reason I am writing this review because I want to make an appointment for my ear infection and I just learned about his move. I was stunned about the bad reps he gets. I am sorry if your feeling got hurts. But, if you are looking for a knowledgeable doctor with excellent work ethics and who can help you with your diagnosis Dr. Kmucha is the right doctor. I am sorry for those two people who had bad experiences. But, I think it's wrong to judge someone's character and destroy his reputation just because you had a one bad experience. read more

My usual doctor was on vacation and his office asked if I'd like to see his associated, Dr. Kmucha. This was the worst doctor I've ever seen! He told me i needed a spanking. I am a 69 years old female with an ear infection. He scolded me for using Qtips and never addressed my ear issue as I walked out of the consult with him. He is rude, insulting, disrespectful and I have no idea how he still claims his medical license. Worst doctor I've ever seen! Don't waste your time, money nor your insurance company's money. I'm 74 and have a spread sheet of doctors. Dr Kmucha is by far the worst doctor I have ever seen. He did not make one comment during my visit that was not rude or insulting. He just seemed interested in insulting me. I asked about side effects of a medication and he scolded me for not reading the instructions. Actually, I had read them and among other side affects listed was that it stunts growth in children. A patient goes to doctors for information not to be scolded.
