At first glance, you realise that this bank caters mainly to Asians - most of the staff are Asian, which probably helps a lot of immigrants out because they're a bilingual branch. However, no need to fear if you only speak English because the bankers here, although of Asian descent, speak English 100% fluently so there is no language barrier on all fronts. We were served by a personal banker named Justin, who was very nice, efficient, and overall did a fantastic job. He cracked a few jokes here and there and made our experience of "going to the bank" not a tedious errand. --- The only downside is because this is only bank in the CBD that does weekend trading and probably one of the very few that has bilingual services, it is extremely crowded. The teller line was enormous and stretched to the far end of the bank. Thankfully, the wait for a personal banker took only a few minutes, but if you're here to deposit money you might consider this to not be a very quick errand.

Aveen Mitra really stands out for the service he provides, and remembers you when you come back in. This must be what banks were like when my parents were my age, you know in the 'good old days'. Banks all do the same thing, yeah, but the way they do it is what makes some stand out. Bank of Melbourne is back, and doing it right.
