The use of a funeral home is obviously unpleasant and sad but Lee Music made this whole unknown unpleasant grieving process smooth understandable and as perfect as it could be. I called constantly with crazy questions. I love throwing parties but not like this. Lee and his colleagues were always pleasant helpful and understanding. They made incredible accommodations for our cultural oddities without hesitation and both my uncles' send offs were beautifully peaceful. I hope to never need this service but the reality is that one day we must. If you are in need, you will find peace and everything taken off your hands with the Music family. I was attempting to arrange a pre-need payment plan for a relative who is still living in Monticello, wasted precious time talking to his assistant over the course of several days, and had the money for a down payment ready to send, before I was turned down cold because I could not fly down there at the drop of a hat and meet with this owner person who "prizes the personal connection" and insists on meeting family members and "getting to know them" before authorizing a prepaid plan. I maintain that this is absolutely unnecessary unless he just wants to make sure that I am white, or wants to pressure me into something more expensive and unaffordable by putting me into a high-pressure, emotionally stressful situation. Meeting me has nothing to do with arranging a simple pre-payment plan online. I found his statement of "wanting to get to know me" creepy and unprofessional. I do not want to get to know him. I just want to arrange a pre-paid service, period, end of story. Must be nice if business is so good you can afford to turn away potential paying customers just because you can't look them over first.

They covered everything and and could not have done so with anymore compassion and professionalism as they have. Got to know a few of the wonderfully caring staff by their 1st names, and everyone was so helpful at a time I needed, as I didn't know what to do because I hadn't before. If you are within the limits of where they will drive to pick up your loved one upon their passing, do yourself and your family the favor of calling them. I cannot recommend them enough as I cannot thank them enough. The price alone could not be matched or beat! But they did not skimp on service including but not limited to the delivery of my precious mother's remains back to us, 117 miles from them.

Nobody likes it when their love ones passes away. I have been around for their services for as long…read moreas I can remember, with the last time being in 2006 when both my brother and sister were murdered. They do a good job here. I mostly attended the wakes to view the bodies rather than the funerals themselves. I remember seeing my great aunt and uncle's bodies in 1997 as well as my brother and sister a few years back. The undertakers keep them in good shape and dress the bodies up well. Despite the somber occasion, all of the services that I have attended are great here and every one of them left something to remember
