Attended this years 35th Northeast Recreational Vehicle & Camping Show at the CT Convention Center…read morethis weekend. This is held here every January for one weekend. Climb aboard various types of campers for newbie vacationers or diehard adventurers! They have pull behind & pop-up campers, as well as driving Class A & C models to check out firsthand. If you're serious about purchasing a new or used vehicle you can get some really good show specials & pricing here as well. Friendly people, Dealers & Convention Staff everywhere you turn at this annual event. They also have Vendors from many CT and surrounding New England Area Campgrounds giving free literature & free drawings for prizes. They also have specialty booths selling jerky, dips & marinades, hand-carved personalized wooden signs, camping cookware & gear, trail snacks, & more. The Convention Center is HUGE & beautiful inside & out! They offer a Concession Stand with drinks, snacks, sandwiches, & beer. There is also a little Convenience Store & Starbucks inside the Center. With ample parking in their private garage & clean, spacious public restrooms to boot. I really enjoy attending this event and have been coming for many years now. Admission is just $11 for adults, children under 14 are free. Parking garage cost about $7 for 3 hrs. Well worth the expense for the amount of time spent here. I personally don't think it's a great outing idea for young children or babies to attend. It is very crowded & most vehicles are new & don't allow food or drinks inside. Teens could enjoy this event if they are very camping-interested. Keep in mind it is a lot of walking & climbing for at least a few hours, but it's a wonderful event!
