Harpers is a rare gem to have in this area, and we're lucky to have them. The staff are all very fashion-forward, and are all more than capable to send you on your way looking sharper than when you came in. The store itself is very upscale, and feels like a place you'd find on Savile Row (without the Savile Row prices.) Really great seasonal selections, with a lot of well-curated accessories available. Their custom garments are where they really shine however. With hundreds of fabrics, linings, buttons, and styles to choose from, it is always a joy creating something that is uniquely yours. I had a fantastic experience working with Thane on a big tailoring order a few weeks ago…read more I had 7 or so suits that needed various levels of adjustments, mostly simple stuff like shortening sleeves, hemming pants, and taking in the width on a few blazers. However, I also had one blazer that I purchased at an online tailor company that came out very wonky in the shoulders. Thane was able to perform surgery on it and perfectly fix the issues. He got everything done on a tight timeframe too, and put in extra work to get it all exact. Beyond that, he was a pleasure to chat with and very professional. The whole project came to a little over $1000, which I think was reasonable given the quantity and quality of work done. I especially don't think anyone else could have fixed the shoulders on that one blazer, so it effectively saved me the value of losing out on an entire suit jacket.

My wife had to try to sew it the best she could but there was still some of the seam that came loose! This pretty much single handedly ruined his prom experience worrying if it was going to split more while he was there which caused him to leave the prom an hour early! When we went to return it and explained what happened we didnt even get an apology. We rented the tux for $130 and he said the best he could do is he can give us $30 he said he still wore it!! Of course he had to wear it...what other options did he have 15 minutes before he had to go!!Give me a break! If you want quality and better customer sevice(especially from an owner) go somewhere else!!

When we returned home from picking up the tuxedos for our wedding, we noticed that my husband's vest and tie were red instead of ivory as was ordered. He called the store immediately and was told by the owner that he'd get back to him as he had to "check around." He then called back and told my husband to come back because he found an ivory vest and tie. When my husband was getting dressed for the wedding, he and his groomsmen saw that the vest was DIRTY. They actually gave him a vest that was worn by someone else and hadn't been cleaned. The pants legs on my husbands, the best man and one of the groomsmen were WAY TOO LONG. The other groomsman's pants were too short and he actually had to pull the waist down so he wasn't wearing floods. Also, the sleeves on his shirt were too short. Each of these men had been measured for their tuxedos so I do not understand how this could have happened! I think they should be ashamed to provide such horrible service. We actually had people asking us where we got the tuxedos and people were commenting on how long the pants legs were! When my father-in-law returned the tuxedos, he told the owner about the pants and all he was told is that he would have to check with his vendor. These men should have received some sort of refund but we didn't even receive an apology! My son is getting married in September and trust me, we will not be getting his tux from Strictly Formals!
