I have scoured many estate jewelry stores, 1st Dibs, Ebay and poured over many Instagram ads. I saw this bracelet being modeled by a lovely lady with a sweet accent and was really taken with it. I stalked it on their website for quite awhile, but was hesitant to buy from a store in another state. I honestly was afraid to buy on their website because what would guarantee I would receive it? After looking up their address and seeing that on Google Maps the street view picture matched their website, and then speaking to Brian a couple times on the phone, I felt reassured that Baldwin's was legitimate. I know I sound paranoid, but these are the days we live in! I requested a video of the bracelet on a wrist, and really loved the look so I took a chance and bought it. I was provided a tracking number and the bracelet arrived 2 days later. I was taken aback by how much more gorgeous it was in person! Truly a magnificent piece of art. Also, the price was very reasonable based on the gold weight and gems. After buying it I've come across a few similar looking bracelets on Ebay for a few thousand more than I paid. I found out that Baldwin's is a third generation jewelry store, with a storied history of romance and the treasure of beautiful family bonds. So I went 3 hours later only to be told that it was not ready and the repair person was out to lunch. So I waited. He came back and I got my repaired bracelet and assumed this was a fluke. A month later I went in to have a ring sized and some diamonds set in a new ring. After 10 days (on a Friday mid-day) I called to check the status and they said the ring re-size would be ready at 5:00pm, and they were still working on the second ring. I didn't make it there until the following Tuesday. They could not find my ring and the repairman was out getting his hair cut. I told them I couldn't believe they couldn't find my ring and they texted the repairman. They said they didn't know when he would be back so I chose to wait a few minutes. I continued to tell them how unprofessional they were as a business. Soon after, I saw the clerk speaking with a man in an office (the owner/manager I guessed). The clerk came out to me and handed my ring and diamonds saying he hadn't gotten around to them. They had never even started on either project. DO NOT patronize this business.
