We had several estimates done and no one (other than Alberto) suggested waterproofing the wall surrounding our basement as well as the inside. And his price was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the other estimates we obtained. The entire project was done in a week and they left the space clean each day. Communication was top notch with quick response to phone calls or text messages. We really felt comfortable with Alberto's team completing this project every step of the way. They even graded a sloped area in our back yard that was problematic and replanted and watered the bushes that were displaced during the project! Their attention to detail is so impressive! Because I own Kohler Farms-A Shire Horse Breeder, I had a large horse trailer and could haul all of his furniture in one load. He had heard about Gate City Glass and made an appointment to bring in all of his furniture at one time. They cut the glass to cover every piece of furniture he had for the house. The furniture looked good before the glass but the glass really made the entire house look amazing! It made every surface clean and shiny which really made the house look spotless! The house sold immediately; the buyers even commented on the furniture and how perfect it looked in the house and they bought it with the house. Without the custom glass, the house would not have looked as amazing and it would not have sold as fast as it did! And, because the glass was custom to each piece of furniture, it really made the house classy! AND - the price was affordable!!! Because of his experience, I am doing all of the furniture in my home! It will protect my furniture and give it that extra class I am looking for! When I finish my home and outside furniture, I will write an extra review describing my entire experience. At Gate City Glass, Stacey, the woman who took my order, was a pleasure with which to work. Despite a small snafu that extended the time it took for me to get my shelf, Stacey explained the problem (not the fault of Gate City Glass), and assured me that I would have my shelf by the following delivery date. Let me begin with......I am IN LOVE with my new screened in porch. (Side note. So are my cats…read more Maybe more than me but I doubt it) If it hadn't been for Michael and Henry being the main 2 subs on the build (all the carpentry and advice) I think I would have lost my mind on this project and possibly been a not so happy camper in the end. I've been told you can have that on big jobs. But thankfully with Henry and Michael in my corner I ended with a beautiful product and the journey wasn't too bad either. It started with me picking a contractor (they will remain nameless) after doing 4 estimates. I thought I picked correctly. And I guess I did in a way. I got Michael and Henry out of this after all...but the other subs and the contractor not so much. Henry and Michael looked out for my best interest throughout the entire build when my contractor didn't seem to be. I think he thought he was. I wish I had known about Headers 2 Footers before this build because the process would have gone so much smoother. But the silver lining is I had them on this build and they were a god send. They helped me get through everything the way my contractor should have been and I will have them on any future plans I have for my house as well. We are actually already talking about putting in a much needed new front porch. So if you are looking for a couple of guys with integrity, creativity, friendliness and skill to back it all up, pick these two. I promise you won't be disappointed.
