Ah good old Stewart's, it wouldn't be a trip home without a trip to this place. Stewart's is a chain of convenience stores, some of them have gas stations too. This particular location is a few streets away from Broadway in Saratoga, where you will also find yet another Stewart's. This store was clean and well lit. This is the perfect place to stop in when you forget to buy milk or eggs at the grocery store. Stewart's has their own brand of beer too, it's fairly inexpensive and not too bad. A lot of my friends and acquaintances in the area love the ice cream from here, I would give it about 8 out of 10. There are a TON of flavor options!! This is definitely an inexpensive place to pick up a tasty frozen treat for a price that won't break the bank. Good place to take kids and you can use your debit/credit card, some of the mom and pop ice cream stands require you to have cash. You can buy pre-packaged cartons of ice cream or get a cone/sundae. So if you are wandering Saratoga and looking for ice cream, I recommend giving this a try over Cold Stone. You will probably save a few bucks! read more

Soggy sandwhichs, an overabundance of homeless scratchers, and a criminally negligent markup on every product they sell. That's the experience you'll have here. Not one in which you can go inside, purchase a reasonably priced cup of coffee and get out without having to engage in some meaningless pitter patter... or wait for the person in front of you to make up his god damned mind on which scratcher he wants to play. Bushwa! I've emailed them before and asked them why on god's green earth there isn't a separate line for those people, but they keep telling me it's because they don't have the manpower to create a separate line. Seems there's enough of them back there pacing around on any given day like a dewdropper trying to look not stoned at the supper table. What are they doing? There doesn't appear to be much "manpower" happening here besides a bunch of busywork and chatting with patrons about what time of day it is (It's 5 o'clock somewhere as some laborer commented as if he's the first person to ever make that joke). The ones that ARE working are assembling soggy sandwhichs and failing to change out the empty hazelnut coffee carafe. What do they do to make them so soggy? It's like they dip the bread in a cup of water and smush them over some low quality, thick cuts of dried out deli meat and slap a $6 price sticker on them. Stewarts needs to get it together. There is plenty of manpower to segregate the scratcher people who create more line time than anyone else, and the regular god damned people who just want to get their god damned coffee and ignore the cheap god damned attempts at small chit chat from the clerks using "manpower" to make my day less productive. read more

Well, they say they have the best milk in NY state. So who could turn down a chance to chug some of that milk at this family-run convenience chain? Yes, the milk was really good. It was smooth as silk and refreshing! I'd vouch for it any day. The store itself was decent and a pretty good size. It's also located near Broadway and by a big parking lot so it's easy to get to. The ice creams here also looked really good but I was already stuffed from drinking a big chug of their famous milk, but it's definitely next on my list! read more

LOVE the ice creams here, there's a huge variety and complimentary toppings like chocolate syrup, caramel, marshmallow, butterscotch, strawberry, pineapple and sprinkles. I've tried the RASPBERRY FUDGE TORTE FROZEN YOGURT, PUMPKIN PIE and BREW-HA-HA, all highly addictive and recommended. The staff here is awesome and will let you try multiple samples without giving you an attitude :) The place also offers really cheap eats which are tempting but I've been sticking mainly to their ice cream..... waiting to return and try the BLACKBERRY GELATO XD read more

My family has been going to Stewart's since Store #20 opened in Warrensburgh,N.Y. (1968). This store is/was my daily go-to for years.YEARS. A lot of the corporate problems Stewart's needs top address are magnified at this location. Lack of customer attendants here and at most Stewart's Shops are busy making to-go food items instead of waiting on the customers.My average wait has grown 12-13 fold in the last months. I'm a big coffee drinker and more often than not the coffee at this location is empty or scorched/acidy from air exposure ( time) and more time is lost having to wait for a person who is not paying attention to a huge seller. I point the finger at the manager who consistently is talking with the employees,sitting down behind the storefront out of view and consistently displays a negative attitude. I'm done listing things and I'm pretty much done with the new way Stewart's ~doesn't~ handle customer service.Convenience items first! read more

Besides selling Lotto (see other review), I really love this Stewarts. It's right in town, and one of very few places in town that sell the necessities of life. Stewarts really wants you to be your friend. They give away free air. They sell you delightful milkshakes and ice cream. They are air conditioned. They have Perk-up. They sell gas that you dont have to pre-pay if you are using cash. I have always found the people who work there to be nice too. One girl calls everybody "honey". Even if you hear it a million times, it never gets old. read more

great place to go...if you feel like waiting in line for pathetic assholes to buy their scratchoffs and lotto tickets...again and again and again. other than that, i love their ice cream and that they are open pretty late. it's small so pretty simple to find stuff and get out as quickly as possible. the only problem is that the prices are WAY more expensive than they would be at a regular grocery store...so if you have the time to go to the store...you should to save a few bucks. read more
