The walls are painted a beautiful emerald green and the furniture is modern and chic. I also am a sucker for finer details such as the plates which were unique and interesting. The owner definitely took time to create a modern steakhouse experience. I especially loved their music. They had an awesome mix of 60s, 70s and 80s playing in the background. On to the service. We were greeted by a well dressed waiter who was very friendly, professional and took great care in serving us. I have to say it was the best service Ive had in Germany to date. We ordered a variety of steaks. The filet mignon, prime rib and beef medallions. Each plate came with a side of either potatoes with thyme or house cut fries. It also came with a Cesar salad or a spring salad. The sides were delicious, especially the fries. Well seasoned and crisp. The salads were good but I didn't feel like it was really a Cesar salad. Being such a nice steakhouse, they could step that salad up a bit with fresh Parmesan, homemade dressing and crotons. Throw some flavor on it. The steaks were perfect. We each ordered medium rare and they were cooked accordingly. The steaks were beautifully made and tasted heavenly. The presentation of the meat was also very nice. We were definitely impressed. Overall I love Emma's steakhouse. It's a wonderful addition to Hanau! I am excited to go back.

The menu resembles your classic US steakhouse cuts and doings. The wine bible has a great range of local German, good selection of anything across Europe including some nice reds from the Douro valley in Portugal. You're sure to find your drop with the attentive waiters' support. Meat: classic cuts, broiled to perfection. Nice selection of desserts. Pricewise what you should expect of a good steakhouse. Ah, ambience: nothing we found they did wrong there, either. Down to the restrooms they done it right. We will be back!

I heard that this restaurant wanted to fill that void and so I went. I was blown away by the interior. I loved the sophisticated ambiance and the spaces so conducive to enjoyable conversation as well as business discussions. This cool design sense extends even to the bathroom. Check it out yourself and you will see what I mean. The menu was clever and cool and well executed. I was impressed by how perfectly the steak was done - just right! The appetizers were extremely tasty. I cannot say enough about the octopus. Still thinking about it. The wine list blew me away - you have to see this monster menu to believe it. One has to ask for the wine menu just for the experience. Great selection at multiple price points. Something for everyone. The price point for food at this establishment is higher than you find in most of this town but I think its fair value - it is not a casual cheap diner. And that is perfectly fine. You can tell that they take pride in their food and I was very happy I stopped here. If I had one (very small) complaint it would be that the Asparagus was a bit undercooked but that is how most chefs serve it. Next time I will ask for well done on the Asparagus. We called our party, who informed us that they were sitting in the back waiting for us. There's not much of a waiting area inside the restaurant because they are taking full advantage of every square inch to fill it with chairs and tables. Most of us were too tired to really eat a lot of meat, so four of us shared a tomahawk steak cooked medium because it was too thick for a medium rare sear. I'm glad that it wasn't overcooked. The wine selection was fantastic, but the side of truffle mashed potatoes was the star of the show.
