I thought Wien Mitte was…read more I went to the Mitte OBB office to buy Bratislava and Budapest train tickets and discovered Wein Meidling is where most trains depart from Vienna heading for other countries. Most of this station- ticket sales and food court is underground. So it's a little deceiving when walking up to it and only seeing the tracks. There is an OBB office and business class lounge here. I recommend staying towards the center underground in the winter while waiting on your train. The chilly wind comes down the steps quickly. This station connects underground with the U6 and several Rapid trains.

I use this station almost every day, as i change here to go to work in the mornings. With the more…read moremodern look it has now and better access to the platforms, i find it rather easy to move about here. It also offers everything else you may need for your train travels, food, newspapers and books, as well as travel center and ticket office. All in all quit good i reckon.

The signs were easy to follow and navigation throughout the station was pretty easy. All in all, this was a good train station that was pretty easy to navigate. We wouldn't mind if we had to transit through here in the future.

Picture a large metro station and a mall…read more I took the CAT from the airport to here. Then easily caught the U4 to my hotel. A very clean and busy station. Every U, S and CAT are well marked. The ticket kiosks were easy to find and use. They are available in several languages. There is also a OBB office here. I stopped back in a few days later to purchase a day trip to Bratislava and a round trip to Budapest. I found it easier to talk with a representative in person. Glad I did, as he gave me better station options and a reserved seat. I wish the States had a great rail system.

Praterstern is good and bad at the same time. Now i am…read moreloving the modernization of the entire area, as i knew it 12 years ago, so 10000000% improvement. It is of course very practical station and function very well, i use it every day and also i go to the airport from here. There is also the BILLA inside which is open 7 days a week and well as many other stores. It offers a lot to anyone who travels through here. BUT it is homeless central here and you do need to walk past and through a lot of homeless and drunk people to get inside and past a HUG thick wall of smoke to get inside. The outside of the station is almost always dirty and makes me want to puke when walking though it, but the inside is normally clean. Therefore i have many mixed feelings regarding this station.
