It doesn't matter how many times you've took the LSAT or who got into law school before you. Your time is coming. I've took the LSAT MULTIPLE times and have a history of underperformance on standardized tests. I never understood why until I found Shana. I never thought for a second that I possibly could be suffering from test anxiety. Test anxiety takes on many forms, but Shana will help you through it. I've been working Shana for the past two weeks remotely and let me tell you she's truly God sent. Whether you're religious or spiritual (maybe neither) it doesn't matter, but she's truly a blessing. Shana is passsionate about the work that she does and her students. Shana is a teacher at heart and she breaks down the material in such a way that things start to click instantly. Shana not only helps you master the LSAT, but she provides you with test anxiety strategies that will make studying easy. I look forward to studying with Shana and doing my hw. Most of the instructors have never been teachers before and only started after scoring in the 99th percentile on the LSAT. Now that isn't a bad thing, of course you want to be in a class with an instructor who aced the exam( in my opinion). However, just because you're good at something doesn't mean you're qualified to teach it. Also, if you suffer from anxiety, adhd, and other learning disabilities they might not be able to provide you with the support/accommodations that you need. Shana is and her work speaks for herself.

I met the owner/manager Nancy seeking a MBA level tutor. She insisted I pay nearly $5000 to retain this tutor and despite my better judgement to hire someone hourly, I paid that amount. She assured me numerous times that if I disliked anything, had any issues she would issue a refund immediately. It was these false promises that swayed my judgement. After paying that amount, I was reaching out to them, they did not call me. After numerous calls and emails a tutor was still not assigned to me. When they finally did respond they said the tutor was only available once a week on Saturdays 9 am-11am. How would this work with upcoming assignments and finals? When I was finally assigned a tutor I was told after the first and only session he was headed abroad to China? I immediately requested a refund as that is their only MBA level tutor and they have no other alternatives. I have been fighting with them since May to get my money back. Nancy has lied to my face saying she processed a refund. My bank and I have not received a dollar. Please do not be fooled by the google reviews. I have to take them to court to get my money back.

We benefited from solid gains in SAT scores too. However, we are very disappointed in the current team of young women who co-manage the interface with parents and tutoring for our kids. Major communication shortfalls / mistakes over and over again, that have a big impact on us. I receive very infrequent feedback, compared to previous management, on the accurate progress of my child. And after thousands of dollars spent, her SAT text scores have not increased. Disaster! In contrast we saw solid results increases for our other kids. Aside from poor management and communication the young and inexperienced management team has no clue on how to structure students' learning plan and schedule. Other problems that could be easily addressed are: 1. tutoring classes being full and hence limiting our ability to increase tutoring around SAT testing season (late Feb through Early June) to offer tutoring on Fridays or Sunday during the these high testing periods. 2. C2's SAT mock tests for digital have been problematic. Perhaps this is due to it being transition year, but their questions are not reflective with what the kids will be tested on. This is both frustrating for kids and it keeps you in the dark on SAT scoring feedback. 3. Finally, we also bought more sessions hoping to get support on AP classes, but since there is not enough kids doing this those tutoring topics (like NSL, etc), sessions are combined with up to 3 additional kids studying something else. Learningwise this is completely ineffective for our daughter. To top it all off instead of getting regular reports on the number of hours used during the year we got a last minute warning that we only have 4 hours left, one months before the the SAT exam. The offered at 30% discount but only if you buy another huge bundle of hours for $7k. If we had to do it again we would have gone somewhere else. In the end, we will be stuck having paid $8-9k for negligible scores improvement.

My son is fairly good with math, but is impatient and gets frustrated when faced with difficult problems. Hanan worked well with him and was able to keep my son focused on his work and to not get distracted by his frustrations. We used his services pretty consistently for over two years, and then somewhat less in 11th and 12th grades as my son needed less help. We tended to wait in a semester until problems were evident. Hana was very accommodating with his schedules, and did not insist on a completely regular cycle. Our only criticism would be that on occasion he would have to reschedule with late notice, or be late to a session. The pricing for an 8-week course (2hr session) seems pretty reasonable compared to other language schools - it's not the cheapest, but it's not super expensive. I really appreciated the school's administrator's quick responses to all of my questions prior to registering for my course. The school's website provides VERY detailed information about registering for courses, refunds, time commitments, etc. My professor (Rossy) is amazing and very patient in helping her class reach its language goals. LOL, I think she has a worksheet/example for EVERY possible linguistic situation. I do appreciate the small class size, which gives all students a chance to have a more personal experience. Actually, I was quite shocked (in a good way) that a couple other students have been working with Rossy for over five years. Although most of the courses are virtual (I could be wrong about this), I wish that there were some in-person courses/options especially for the weekend sessions. However, I understand that times are changing, and we as a society are moving to a more virtual world. Perhaps, this is outside of ISL's responsibility, but I wouldn't mind the incorporation of at least one in-person event/experience within course.
