Located right in the middle of Contoocook, the market was bustling with all types of local vendors. I spied flowers, in season veg and fruits, berries, local and organic meats (frozen), pies, cookies, jellies, jams, maple syrple, and also some local hippies playing drums and other cool African beats. Kids, ducks, dogs, (Jackie was there too!), families, and pagans, were all there enjoying the sunny hot morning and getting their supplies for the week. I hope to be back soon!!

Well that was just what was in this season. Inquire about other produce in other season. I have never ate a French white melon so ripe and full of juice before. You will never find something comparable in the supermarket. Not even Whole Foods where you will be gauge on their blatant "freshness" campaign. Try any one of their melons and you won't be sorry. Prices are very very reasonable.

We went inside and the fruits and veggies were beautiful. We started looking at tomatoes and Dennis (owner?) insisted on getting us more to choose from. We had a nice little conversation about growing basil while they were pricing tubs of corn chowder. Dennis asked if we liked corn chowder and we said yes, so he told us he was giving us a tub of his to try cause it will be the best we ever had! While it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was pretty damn near close! The corn was great, the tomatoes were great, the squash was great! The pick your own blueberries were delightful! We will definitely be back again after a super experience! PS it's a little farther down the road than you think it will be, keep going... Trust me

Will be using the bacon ends later in the week to make bacon and corn chowder. Will be buying from them again next time we go to the farmers market! We picked up fresh and to bring back. The woman here was friendly and very helpful. The peaches we're bringing home, and the corn we made on the grill. I mixed lime zest and butter, buttered the corn, and left the husk on to help keep the butter-lime on the ear. Only problem was I didn't have butchers twine, so didn't work out as well as planned, but came out great either way. Corn was delicious.
