The grounds are beautiful but the woman proprietor, Kaye was not. I agree with other reviews that this woman could care less about having happy paying customers. I organized a sleigh ride for 13 people and Kaye was rude from my initial call to book our trip to the day we arrived for our sleigh ride. Upon arrival, Kaye inquired if she had payment from everyone. I asked a few friends if they had paid. Kay then said to me "WHEN YOU GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, let me know if everyone has paid" WOW! How's this for greeting? In fairness, I have to say her husband was very friendly and shared information about their beautiful horses. The next time, I plan a sleigh ride, I'm heading for Stillwater's competition in Sandpoint, ID. It might be a longer trek to that guest ranch in Sandpoint, but at least those folks are extremely friendly and happy to have you as a paying customer. read more

Beautiful place, but the owners made the event very unpleasant. A good friend of mine got married here last summer and the grounds were very pretty, but the people who run the place made things really uncomfortable and unpleasant. During the rehearsal dinner the owners insisted on being present and muddled in the setup and wouldn't leave us alone until we left. The bride and groom had paid through Sunday morning for the venue, but the day before the wedding the owners told them we had to be out Saturday night by 10pm; decorations and all! Who shuts down their wedding at 9pm?? The day of the wedding the woman kept messing with our decorations, wouldn't let us put food and beverages in the fridge in the reception hall (because she had too much of HER stuff in there); she shut off one of the bathroom stalls because "we had alcohol and people were using the bathroom too much"; they wouldn't turn on the AC in the reception hall (middle of July, mind you); and during the reception the woman had the nerve to start cleaning up after people and even took a box of our cake to take home!! She then proceeded to start cleaning up and packing up for us. The guests got uncomfortable and thought they had to leave. The next day the owners used some of our decorations and even our porta-John for their "memorial service"! When the bride and groom asked for the money they paid through Sunday and their damage deposit back, they almost wouldn't give it back. The owners were awful (mainly the woman), but the grounds were pretty. If you could have only dealt with the husband, it probably would have been better. Despite the people being really rude, we had a good time; it was just really unfortunate they were incentive during my friends' wedding... So, go here at your own risk! read more

My family had a wonderful time on our sleigh ride. Beautiful country and a well kept facility.

What a blast! We had three generations present and it was truly a treat for all. We sang Christmas songs on the sleigh as we toured this beautiful setting. The owners were friendly and gracious and every detail for the afternoon was prepared. We've all planned to schedule for next year. read more

I recently attended my nephews wedding there on 6/23/18. We arrived the day before to decorate and move tables around and get ready for the wedding. The owners were always around watching and going in and out all about complaining about a whole lot of nothing. We were very careful with everything and was mindful not to damage any of the hops or anything else. I know when you rent a place you should be able to have the space for that specified amount of time without the owners around period, that was very uncomfortable. Then on the day of the wedding there was a LOT of interruption from the owners, we were getting ready for the wedding and the lady seemed to be harassing the Bride and Groom constantly and many others too, it was awful. I would NEVER recommend this place, yes it is a beautiful setting but so is most of Idaho, the hospitality is the worst I have ever seen. Couldn't wait to get out of there. There are many other choices, this should NOT be a choice at all, the owners should just keep it for personal use, or take a customer service class. Buyer be ware!!! read more

I am shocked to read the previous review!! I am a recent bride, and thought the entire experience was professional and stress free! The owners were very helpful, and their venue amazingly gorgeous! The horses were so much fun, and beautiful! Possibly, the previous person is not aware of the expense that goes into owning draft horses, so doesn't have respect for them or the owners of such astute animals!!! As a horse owner, I can completely understand their concern if there were drunk people roaming around their animals. I would recommend this venue to any bride who wishes for a special experience on her wedding day! read more

Still water Ranch is a beautiful place...But I would not recommend anyone get married there. I had my wedding there and it was not a plessent experience. Bryan and Kaye are not good host at all. During the time that we looked at the ranch before we had said yes they told us we would get to use anything and everything in the kitchen, we would get to use the arbor and it would be cleaned, that we wouldn't even notice they were there during our wedding and rehearsal but they would be around in case we needed help with something. They said any part of the grounds (besides the house, or back where the horses are ) we could use. Then the day of the rehearsal they were all over and wouldn't let us set up the chairs where we wanted to on the lawn so that the guests would be in the shade during the ceremony, and their reasoning for it was "We always set the chairs over here so you cant put them somewhere else". They then proceeded to bring out the arbor that we were aloud to use and it was SO DIRTY! it was COVERED in dust! and they told the father of the bride (my dad) that he had to clean it and they wouldn't! even though they told us it would be clean! and they just kept telling us what we could and couldn't do even though they had earlier said we could. On the day of the wedding it was a disaster! The floor inside the barn where the kitchen is and where all the food and cake was supposed to be was soaking wet! the cement floor was sweating, we had kids and adults falling all over the place and when we told them that they needed to do something about it they again tried to make the mother and father of the bride and the mother and father of the groom mop the floor! it was their floor and their mess and they needed to fix it and they proceeded to tell us that in 10 years of doing weddings they had never had this happen before, yeah right! After the wedding for the reception we were getting ready to serve food and the lady had locked all the drawers where the utensils where that we were supposed to be able to use...thankfully we had brought some extras. then they only gave us some of our deposit back because they had locked the doors to the barn where some of the chairs were and wouldn't let us in so we could put away the chairs. Kaye was also constantly yelling at someone about something. Honestly if I had it to do over again I would never go back to that ranch...very rude people. read more
